Joe and Junaid had a rocky time throughout series 35, having felt ostracised from the group after going public with their relationship just a week after Joe's split from Harry Derbidge.

With Harry confirming he will be back, Joe and Junaid have now set the record straight about what the future holds for them within the Essex series in a shared post on Instagram.

Sharing a pic of them arriving at Jordan Brooks' Moulin Rouge themed 30th birthday party, the pair wrote: "Wow!!! What a series it has been to say the least.. once again another rollercoaster of a series for us.

"We’ve had some great moments this series alongside some very testing hard moments but once again we always give you our real authentic self’s & our real life!"

"Onto some good news we are both back for Towie series 36 which we start filming very soon! 🥳🙌, " they then confirmed.

"Thank you for all the love & support as always, we are back on your screens sooner than you think."

In the series 35 finale, which aired this week, Joe and Junaid came face-to-face with Chloe Meadows and Jordan Brook, getting emotional as they shared their upset at being shunned from the friendship group.

Joe broke down saying it was "a lot" for him, prompting Geordie Shore star Sophie, who is dating Jordan, to comfort him.

She then told him: "You two are happy and we get that. From today things are going to change and it's going to."

Struggling to get his words out, Joe admitted: "I am sorry and I feel like I'm forever going to have to be sorry for the rest of my life."

"All it took Joe, in the early days, was a little bit of accountability earlier on," Sophie told him.

"We get that, people don't always know the right and wrong time but if you went back to that time and said I f***** up but I'm happy now."

"It took time for me to realise the hurt that I did cause, but I just want you to get to know me for me and realise I'm not as evil as you probably think I am," she added.

Chloe told Joe that she 'didn't think he was evil" and considered the night a "baby step" in rebuilding their relationship.

"All of this has been going on for so long now, a couple of weeks ago would I have you here, probably not," Jordan told Joe and Junaid.

"But you've been isolated for a while, you really have, no one likes being isolated. Tonight I don't want tears, I want you to smile and I want you to have fun as you two."

Joe and Junaid have already shared their plans to get married just nine months after starting a relationship – wanting a Bollywood themed bash if and when they tie the knot.
