Although a certain ITV2 dating show is keeping us more than entertained at the moment, it feels like it’s been ages since we last had any TOWIE on our screens and, frankly, we’re missing all the Essex drama.
Luckily, the cast have been filming series 36 and from what we’ve been seeing on social media and podcast appearances, it sounds like we can expect PLENTY of drama when the show returns to ITV2 later this year.
We also caught up with some of the cast at the National Reality TV Awards earlier this week and Essex fave Freddie Bentley teased a huge cast ‘divide’.

‘I think we’re going to see a real big divide this series,’ the reality star said and we have a feeling he’s going to be right in the thick of the drama after he was rumoured to have fallen out with BFF Ella Rae Wise.
Freddie was joined at the awards bash by Junaid Ahmed and Joe Blackman, who also had some things to say about the show.
Speaking about the new series, Junaid teased ‘chaotic, juicy drama, every episode’.

The cast begin the series with a trip to Portugal and the self-proclaimed ‘bitch with a heart of gold,’ said, ‘If I’m honest, Portugal was definitely an adventure. I would say it was definitely very different for me and Joe to previous trips. It was wild.’
‘It starts off with a bang, as it should,’ Joe added.
And it looks like we could see yet another TOWIE and Love Island crossover as a source recently told Closer that Dan Edgar is hoping his former flame and Love Island 2025 star Angel Swift will join him on the show.

‘It was pretty much a “one and done” between Dan and Angel, but a lot of fun was had between the pair after his break-up with Ella and her stint on Celebrity Big Brother,’ our insider said. ‘He saw it as a sort of “just deserts” for Ella after the way she ended things with him before she went on CBB in the hope of a potential fling between herself and Chris Hughes, which obviously didn’t work out for her.
‘However, Dan is apparently already thinking ahead and thinking about getting Angel to join TOWIE once she leaves the villa. This is guaranteed to cause some catfights between Ella and Angel. Angel is not the sort to care about that though and will own it – she’s very confident and describes herself as a 20 out of 10.’
