It’s been a long few months without TOWIE in our lives after series 35 came to an end in May, but there’s been some seriously good news for viewers this week as it’s been revealed that series 36 is just days away.

As well as confirming that the latest series kicks off on Sunday 17 August AND we’re getting two episodes a week, show bosses have also shared a first look at all the drama that the cast have in store this series and it looks JUICY.

As well as yet another twist in the saga that is Ella Rae Wise and Dan Edgar’s love story after she dumped him earlier this year, it looks like another couple are heading for a split as Elma Pazar and Sammy Root have an emotional showdown and things even get physical between two cast members in a fiery poolside row.

The cast members in question are Jordan Brook and Freddie Bentley, who previously clashed last series when Freddie accused Jordan of being ‘two-faced’. Although Freddie later told Closer that they resolved their issues and there was ‘no beef’ between them, it seems that tensions between the pair flare once again in upcoming scenes.

A teaser trailer released yesterday (Wednesday 6 August) shows tempers fraying around the pool in Portugal as Ella calls someone ‘irrelevant’ and Junaid Ahmed, who has also previously clashed with Jordan, brands one of his co-stars an ‘idiot’.

Jordan is then seen appearing to push Freddie, who responds, ‘Who you pushing, mate?’

The altercation causes Livvy Jay to exclaim, ‘I’m bewildered,’ and honestly hun, us too.

The dramatic scenes come after Freddie revealed to Closer that there was a 'big divide' between the cast. Speaking to us at the National Reality TV Awards last month, he said, '‘I think we’re going to see a real big divide this series.'

Jordan and Freddie first butted heads last year in the wake of Harry Derbidge’s split from Joe Blackman and Joe’s subsequent romance with Junaid. We’ll never forget the moment Jordan told Freddie, ‘You’re on thin ice,’ and he quipped back with the immortal words, ‘Well, let’s go skating.’

Freddie later revealed they’d made up in unaired scenes, exclusively telling Closer, ‘Me and Jordan had an off-screen conversation at the Christmas special and we’ve squashed any beef that we’ve got going on between us.’

However, he did hint that they weren’t exactly besties when he added, ‘No one really knows where they stand with Jordan. People are black and white, he’s grey.’
