Tommy Fury says 2025 is ‘best year of his life’ after being in ‘dark place’ as he pays tribute to Bambi on ngocc

TOMMY Fury has opened up on being in a "dark place" for a "long time" as he addressed overcoming the "worst year" of his life on Good Morning Britain.

The boxer took time out from celebrating his 26th birthday to appear on Wednesday's episode of the ITV daytime series, where he issued an adorable tribute to his daughter Bambi, aged two.

Yet while he gushed over the toddler and told her how much he loved her, he avoided any mention of his reunion with Molly-Mae Hague, 25.

GMB anchors Susanna Reid, 54, and Ed Balls, 58, also swerved references to the influencer, who he met on Love Island in 2019.

Tommy and Molly’s shock split came in August last year when she posted a statement to Instagram, telling fans: “Never in a million years did I think I'd ever have to write this.

He was later accused of cheating on her with a ‘blonde stranger’ on a lads’ holiday to Macedonia - something Tommy has repeatedly denied.

The boxer then admitted that alcohol and partying was behind his split, saying: “We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn't be the partner that I wanted to be anymore.

“It kills me to say it, but I couldn't. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink.”

In his hugely candid chat on TV Tommy told how he had "fallen into a dark place" in 2024 following his last fight against KSI in 2023, which sparked a wrist injury and surgery.

He recalled the turmoil and aftermath of his injury recovery and said: "I thought sod it all.

"You go down a route for a few weeks, and you end up staying there for a long time."

Seemingly referring to his split with Molly-Mae he said: "There has to be consequences."

Yet on a happier note, he said: "This year will be the best year of my life.

"And it starts on Friday.

"I am happy mentally now.

"I have come through it, I am on the other side."

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury - Reunion Clues

MOLLY-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury are on holiday in Dubai after splitting in August. Yet have they dropped clues about their reunion before?

Tommy, who was speaking from his hotel suite in Budapest ahead of his boxing comeback, will be taking to the ring on May 9 against Kenan Hanjalic.

Meanwhile, in a hugely sweet moment, he told how he had just come off the phone with two-year-old daughter Bambi, who had been eager to wish him a happy birthday.

He told GMB: "I speak to Bambi all the time.

"She is everything to me, I love her so much."

Tommy then paid tribute to the little girl if she was watching and said: "Bambi, daddy loves you."

During Molly-Mae and Tommy's split, they continued to co-parent their tot.

Yet in March, Molly-Mae revealed their reunion as she spoke out on the family's holiday to Dubai.

She then addressed her relationship status with Tommy and said of the pair: "We're just figuring things out."

It came after the influencer and boxer shared almost identical holiday snaps from the UAE.

She said: "We had a really really amazing time, probably the best holiday ever for all of us.

"It's not that I'm hiding it, I'm not quite ready to talk about it."

DOCU REVEAL

The next three episodes of the Maebe founder's Amazon Prime show, Molly-Mae: Behind It All, will document their reunion.

The shows are released on the same day as Tommy's fight.

The trailer for the new series reveals Molly-Mae and Tommy's re-kindled romance for the first time.

Yet Molly-Mae sparked concern in one clip as she suggested their newfound bond could soon be "destroyed."

It also featured the horrifying moment she was unseated from a horse - laving her pals asking: "Can you breathe?"

Molly-Mae's sister Zoe is also seen expressing concern as the pair give thing another go.
