Todd Nepola appeared to throw some shade at his ex-wife, Alexia Nepola, in an Instagram comment shared earlier this week.
Days after the 58-year-old Real Housewives of Miami star appeared on Watch What Happens Live, where she admitted to recent hookups with Todd, 52, whom she divorced in March, Todd responded to a social media user who mentioned someone who had discussed their partner’s “fake car” and “fake apartment.”
“The wife of a friend is saying she is driving his fake car, living in his fake apartment. What should she do?” the person asked, potentially in a nod to Alexia outing Todd as a renter on RHOM.
“That depends,” Todd replied. “Does she bring anything to the table in the relationship or is she just there to get things?”
While Alexia’s name wasn’t mentioned, users on X seemed to believe that Todd was alluding to feeling used by Alexia.
“She’s just there to get things. All about the money for her…” one person suspected.
“Todd was feeling used, not loved,” another agreed.
“I mean….. really…. What does Alexia bring to the table?” wondered a third.
Meanwhile, in an interview of her own, Alexia explained why she and Todd got back together after their divorce.
“It was love,” Alexia told E! News on June 23. “It was nothing particular. He thought he was going to be able to not live with me. He thought he was going to file and he was going to be able to not love me anymore and forget about me and that didn’t happen. And I felt the same way about him. It wasn’t finished.”
During the premiere episode of season seven earlier this month, Todd blindsided Alexia by moving out of their home and into a rental when she was out of the house.
“It happened so abruptly,” she recalled. “I’m sure he wouldn’t have wanted to do it that way, but that’s how he did it and that’s what you see.”
Because she was in so much pain due to their breakup, Alexia found it hard to film.
“It was really difficult for me to talk about the man I love and I want to be with,” she explained. “But going through something like this, I felt like my friends that were there, I had so much support. I feel like the only way you could get through something like this is your friends and your family that are there to love you, to support you and to give you advice.”
While some of her castmates have questioned her decision to rekindle her romance with Todd, Alexia said she was not worried about the thoughts of others.
“I have to worry about me and what’s best for me,” she noted.
As for how her sons, Peter Rosello, 32, and Frankie Rosello, 28, feel about her back and forth with Todd, which Alexia confirmed on last week’s WWHL was still happening, she admitted that they stay out of her relationship drama.
“They don’t get involved because I don’t think it’s healthy for them to get involved,” she explained. “I’ve always had a beautiful relationship with my boys and it’s separate … My kids just want me to be healthy and happy, the same thing I wished for them.”
“They know as a family we’ve gone through so many hardships and obstacles and challenges,” she continued. “And we deserve to be happy, whatever that happiness may be. They’re like, ‘You got this mom. Whatever you want to do, we’re with you and we support that.’ I have their blessing. That the kind of relationship and unconditional love that I have with my boys.”
Also during the interview, Alexia said that while fans “will see” Todd on the show, “he’s not going to like” it.
“We’re talking about him and Todd doesn’t like the show. It’s no secret he does not like the show,” she shared.
