Premiere parties should be fun!
The Summer House Season 9 cast definitely believes that, anyway. Kyle Cooke, Carl Radke, Lindsay Hubbard, Amanda Batula, Paige DeSorbo, Ciara Miller, Gabby Prescod, Jesse Solomon, West Wilson, Lexi Wood, and Imrul Hassan all gathered together at the Fleur Room at the Moxy Chelsea on February 12 to celebrate the show's newest season premiering.
At the event, servers walked around offering mini espresso martinis or Cosmopolitans, as well as tiny flower bouquets, as a DJ (no, it wasn't Kyle, sadly) set the mood with fun music. Guests could enjoy drinks, finger food, and incredible views of the iconic New York City skyline from the venue's floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
The cast members mingled amid the crowd, posing for photos and chatting with guests. There was one special attendee in particular: Andy Cohen himself stopped by before hanging with Ciara and Lindsay on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that night. (Learn what Lindsay had to tell Andy about her boyfriend and the father of her child here.)
When asked by Bravo what she was most excited about in regards to Season 9, Paige cited her fashion.
"I want to see my outfits back. I want to see where I can improve, which outfits I liked best," she said, adding, "My favorite moment was an all-day party. Kyle DJed and we had a great time."
For Jesse Solomon, who is entering his second season on the show, he was just relieved to no longer be the new person.
"You know what to expect a little bit more ... This time I'm like, 'You know it can only be so good and only be so bad,'" he said.
However, West, who joined the cast at the same time as Jesse, had a slightly different reaction — understandably, considering he had to come face to face with his ex-girlfriend, Ciara, who wasn't exactly pleased to see him.
"The beginning of the season, for me, isn't awesome, so I'm a little bit nervous for the beginning. The season as a whole, I'm excited for it to get better, which is cool," he said.
Kyle did finally get behind the DJ booth at the party, although it wasn't to take over the song selection. Instead, he gave a rousing speech to the crowd, noting it's an annual tradition at this point. He thanked everyone involved in making Summer House before reminiscing on Season 1, recalling how they had to go to the original house — "Lindsay was in the car" — to convince the owners they were working professionals and it was safe to rent to them. (Well, fans know how that turned out.)
"I want to thank you guys who came to look at us idiots take photos and be real on reality television. Thank you guys for tuning in and supporting us. We love you!" he said.
Carl echoed a similar sentiment while speaking to Bravo.
"I'm grateful. Bravo fans are amazing, which is why we're still able to do all this," he said.
