Kaity Biggar and Zach Shallcross are ready for their wedding day!
Biggar, 30, reaffirmed on the latest episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast on Wednesday, March 19 that she and her fiancé, 28, will be tying the knot at some point in 2025 — without revealing a specific date.
"Life is great," The Bachelor alum said. "Zach and I decided we're gonna get married this year. No, I'm not telling you the date. But yeah, we're so excited."
Biggar, who met Shallcross on the show's 27th season, added that the pair are also considering "having little babies" in a year and a half, too. But as for the wedding itself, Biggar told hosts Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt that she and her fiancé are going to "just go to city hall" to make things official.
"I'm just loving this stage in our relationship and where we are in life that I'm just soaking it all in," she added. "We're traveling so much and I just love that man to death."
Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar Say 'There's No Rush' to Get Married: 'We Have the Rest of Our Lives'
While planning the wedding, Biggar said it would be entirely funded by her and Shallcross, so after being quoted $70,000 to $80,000, she simply decided to just "sign the damn paper" at their local courthouse, she revealed.
"And then we'll have a huge party later down the road," she recalled of her suggestion to Shallcross. "And he honestly lit up when I said that. Because it wasn't his idea. He's like, 'If you want the big wedding, we'll do it. If you want the small wedding, whatever you want.' And I was like, 'This is what I want,' and he's like, 'Hell yeah.' "
The duo's 2025 wedding plans arrive two years after their love story first aired on The Bachelor, when Shallcross told host Jesse Palmer, during the After the Final Rose special, that they'd already discussed locking in 2025 nuptials. After the finale, they both told PEOPLE that, ultimately, they wanted to wait before tying the knot. "Right now, the main emphasis is living together in Austin, getting to know each other more and more, and just see how things go," Shallcross said at the time. "There's no rush."
Biggar agreed, adding, "We have the rest of our lives together, so why does everything need to be a rush? It doesn't."
Now, as Biggar revealed on Bachelor Happy Hour, the soon-to-be newlyweds are hoping to buy a house together by the end of the year, as well. They initially were looking at North Carolina, but recent storms in the area have inspired them to stick to Austin, Texas — where they currently reside.
"[We'll] see where life takes us," she said. "We're not married to Austin for the rest of our lives... I was thinking of us growing a family, I'd be closer to home in Canada [from North Carolina]. It's more of an easier drive for my family. So you know, I'm all over the place. And that's OK to be all over the place."
While moving plans aren't totally locked in yet, the duo is continuing to tease their forthcoming wedding, without giving too much away. On Thursday, March 20, Biggar and Shallcross shared a video compilation to Instagram, showcasing how their story has unfolded on television and beyond.
"OFFICIALLY have the date we are getting married!! 💍 📅 🤍," they captioned the footage.
Palmer also shared his excitement for the upcoming big day. "I can’t tell you how happy I am for the two of you ❤️," he wrote. "This makes me SO HAPPY 😃"
