Bachelor Nation fans got to know Sydney Lotuaco on Season 23 of “The Bachelor” and Season 6 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Sydney found love off-screen with Nick Wehby and the two tied the knot in May 2023. They welcomed a baby girl named Remy together last summer.
Since her time on the shows, Sydney has been keeping fans updated with her life on social media, where she frequently shares content of her family and beloved dog Dixie.
This week, Sydney took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news that her sweet Dixie has passed away.
Alongside a series of photos of Dixie, the Bachelor Nation star wrote, “This hurts to write and doesn’t quite feel real yet, but we had to say goodbye to our Dixie this week. We always told Dixie ‘everybody loves you so much,’ which was so true. Whether you knew her or just saw videos of her she was so loved. Even if you weren’t a dog person she won you over, she was stubborn like that.”
Sydney talked about the special connection they all shared with her and how much she impacted their lives.
“Dogs become ingrained into your routine and how you move throughout your life. Her absence is palpable and she will be so missed,” she said. “I’ll miss her snores, her larger than life personality, and how much she made us laugh. She was only here for 6 months of Remy’s life, but Remy loved her so much. I’ll miss seeing how Remy lit up and laughed every time Dixie walked in the room.”
Sydney finished her post with one last message to her sweet pup.
“It felt like she guided us into these two big transitions we made last year, moving and having Remy and made sure we were good before her time came,” she expressed. “There would have never been enough time with her sweet soul and she’ll forever be a part of us until we meet again. Until then I hope you have lots of soccer, perfectly fluffed pillows, all the food you can eat, and lots of lay in bed time like you deserve. We love you Dixie girl ❤️”
