The Waterloo Road actress, who is the daughter of Sally Dynevor, shared more unknown details of her Corrie history on Loose Women
Waterloo Road star Hattie Dynevor has shared an unexpected link to Coronation Street which goes back way further than her mum's stint on the long-running show
The 21-year-old actress is currently playing the role of Libby Guthrie in the BBC One school drama and is currently tackling a difficult storyline as a victim of coercive control from her first boyfriend.
While she's no stranger to the world of acting and stardom thanks to her family, the Loose Women panel were shocked to discover just how ingrained her family is into Coronation Street.
Hattie's mum, Sally Dynevor is best known for playing the role of Sally Metcalfe in the popular soap, and has done since in 1986. Sally's character first met Kevin Webster after she was splashed by his van while waiting for the bus.
Although they had two children in the show, Rosie and Sophie, they split after Kevin had been unfaithful with Tyrone's wife Molly Dobbs which led to the birth of his son, Jack.
During Monday's (March 31) instalment of Loose Women, Hattie joined the panel alongside her 'Auntie' Denise Welch and Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver.
Lead panellist Jane Moore asked: "You grew up with Corrie, didn't you? Part of your life" as Sue Cleaver interjected and shared: "Not only did you grow up from Corrie, if I get this right?
"I mean, your grandfather was a director on Corrie, your grandmother acted and was also a floor manager, and then your mum." Hattie replied: "Yeah, my grandma and grandpa met on Corrie" as Sue then added that Hattie's mum and dad also met on the cobbles.
The star continued: "My grandma was a runner, like a floor runner, and then she met my grandpa, and then my mum met my dad through my grandma who had invited her over for dinner.
"It was like, 'You have to meet my son, Tim,' and they all had a dinner party and that's how they met." Jane then asked if Hattie would ever consider a role on the soap, to which she responded: "Yeah., I mean, I would never rule it out. I'm just focusing on Waterloo Road at the moment moment, but yeah, definitely."
Hattie continued to add how close she is with her mum, and when asked what they did for Mother's Day, she said: "She is like my best friend. We did a walk and went for a pub lunch and it was lovely."
Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
