Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke went through it all on Summer House — from breakups to makeups and more — before calling off their engagement in August 2023.
When the series premiered on Bravo in January 2017, Hubbard and Radke were part of the OG cast of Summer House and have since returned for every season. During season 4, the pair attempted to turn their friendship into a romance, but it quickly fizzled out.
The duo gave their relationship a second chance in fall 2021, with Radke exclusively telling Us Weekly in January 2022 that they were an item. “We’re very happy,” he gushed.
Us confirmed the pair had gotten engaged in August 2022, while filming Summer House season 7. The twosome ultimately called it quits the following summer.

Summer 2016
When the first season of the Bravo series filmed in 2016, Radke was new to the group but hit it off with Hubbard fairly quickly.
Summer 2017/18
Their friendship continued to grow during seasons 2 and 3 of Summer House.
Summer 2019
During season 4 of the reality show, which filmed during the summer of 2019, fans learned that Radke and Hubbard hooked up in-between seasons. While they attempted to date, their romance quickly fizzled and they opted to stick to being friends.
March 2020
Hubbard reflected on their brief romance as the series was airing.
“For everyone saying that this situation was ‘scripted’ or was for a ‘storyline,’ it wasn’t. Unfortunately going into it, Carl didn’t exactly understand that I’m not dating just to date at this point in my life (even if he is my best friend), or that he wasn’t quite ready for the level of commitment I need in a relationship,” she wrote in March 2020. “Our expectations were not aligned, which is where it all went wrong. Trust me, he knows, and I made it very clear to him back in July as you are seeing now. I held him accountable then and he holds himself accountable now. Carl is growing, albeit slowly, but he’s getting there. He watched the episode and called me saying, ‘I’m sorry Hubb House. Watching this back, I realize I was wrong, and it’s hard to watch.’”
February 2021
Radke opted not to film Winter House, a crossover series of Southern Charm and Summer House, in February 2021 as he focused on his sobriety.
“We’ve been super close, we’ve been best friends, we started the show together. Not having him at Winter House was very strange for me. I mean, he was helping me pack the night before I left,” Hubbard told Us ahead of the spinoff show’s October 2021 premiere. “I FaceTimed him a bunch while I was there and we hang out all the time, we live in the same building in New York and we’re just, like, really, really close.”
Summer 2021
The pair returned to the Hamptons to film season 6 during the summer of 2021.
Fall 2021
After they wrapped their sixth season as costars, fans began to focus on how close Radke and Hubbard appeared via Instagram. Bravo viewers flooded the comments section of the publicist’s October 2021 post when they noticed Radke’s hand on her knee.
October 2021
The pair fueled romance rumors by dressing up as Johnny (the late Patrick Swayze) and Baby (Jennifer Grey) — and recreating the iconic Dirty Dancing movie poster — for Halloween.
“Carl and I have been best friends for years. There's no surprise there. And you know, like, we decided to go to this Halloween brunch together [with] four friends. They have two young kids," she told Kate Casey when asked about dating speculation.

Radke exclusively told Us that he and Hubbard are dating — revealing things turned romantic toward the end of production on season 6 of Summer House in September 2021.
“There’s just been more feelings. We hang out all the time. I can’t tell you how many friends of ours have said, ‘Oh, what about, you know …’ Like, deep down, always wondering [about] me and Lindsay. And I ran from that for some reason,” he told Us at the time. “I was scared cause dating your best friend is really freaking scary.”

Radke also gushed over his lady while reflecting on the summer bash, writing, “She Likes Me for Me #prom2021♥️ #summerhouse,” alongside snaps of the couple posed by the Hamptons house pool. The duo went as each other’s date for the fun night.

During a joint interview with Us, the couple revealed that they were planning to move in together.
"We're very serious, in love and very happy," Radke shared, noting that they were looking at a "whole new place" to move into. "We're really excited to start our next chapter together. Living together is a big step, but we've basically been doing it for the last year, just switching into each other's apartments here and there."
Hubbard, for her part, hinted that fans may see them cohabiting during season 7 of Summer House.

During the season 7 Summer House premiere — which was filmed in summer 2022 and aired in early 2023 — fans learned that Hubbard was drinking again after previously going alcohol-free to help with Radke’s sobriety journey.
The former Loverboy VP of sales exclusively told Us after the premiere that he was OK with his fiancée drinking as long as they discussed it. “I mean, first and foremost, I just wanna say, like, it’s been amazing having a partner and a friend and a lover who has been very understanding and accommodating and supportive,” Radke said. “It’s not easy to be in a relationship with someone who has the challenges that I have, and I forget that sometimes.”
He explained: “I’ve always wanted her to do what’s best for her and, honestly, her having a glass of wine with her aunt or having a Loverboy with whoever, I fully support that. I think it’s all about communication and understanding, you know, what works for each other and it’s a constant conversation.”
Hubbard echoed her partner’s sentiments, telling Us at the time, “It was a lot of, like, compromise and communication and just respect surrounding levels of drinking for me and, like, making sure he’s comfortable. … That is one lifestyle that we differ on. It’s just a lot of compromise.”

The couple jetted off to Ireland for the wedding of Hubbard’s ex-boyfriend Everett Weston — who is still close to the pair — and Courtney Cavanagh. “Celebrating Love & friendship in Ireland 💕,” the publicist captioned a group snap from the nuptials.

Ahead of Hubbard and Radke's fall nuptials, a source confirmed to Us that the twosome called off their engagement.

Radke sent an email to his and Hubbard’s wedding guests confirming their nuptials were off. “There have been a lot of false narratives and misunderstandings that have made this all the more painful but sadly at this time we are not moving forward with the wedding,” he wrote in the message. “The fact of the matter is Lindsay is devastated and I’m crushed with how all this transpired. I graciously ask for some patience and grace to heal and recover while we navigate this extremely difficult time.”
Days later, Hubbard broke her silence over the split, pointing the blame at Radke. “My entire life and future was ripped out from underneath me and I’ve had a hard time making sense of it all — with no answers or closure on why,” she wrote via Instagram. “I feel humiliated by how it went down, and simultaneously heartbroken that it happened in the first place. My trust has been betrayed, and coming to terms with that has been difficult for me.”
In the weeks that followed, a source exclusively told Us that Radke and Hubbard had “seen a counselor” before calling it quits. “Carl had major fundamental issues before the wedding and wanted to take an honest look at them,” the insider said, noting that “things were not resolved between Carl and Lindsay as the wedding was approaching.”
According to the source, “Carl didn’t think it was a good way to start their forever together,” but “his intention was not to break up with her, he only wanted to address their relationship and it went south.”

“I’m not dating yet. I don’t personally feel it’s fair to enter another relationship while I’m still dealing with some entanglements,” Radke exclusively told Us, noting that he was preparing to “relive” his and Hubbard’s split when season 8 of Summer House premiered that month.
Radke explained: “My breakup is going to be a big conversation. I don’t know if that’s also fair for myself and anybody else that I would pursue. So [I am] taking some advice of my own and just taking a step back.”
When it comes to his dynamic with his ex-fiancée, Radke told Us that he and Hubbard “haven’t seen each other in person” since BravoCon in November 2023. “We’ve had text messages since the breakup, but right now, no, we are not in communication,” he revealed. “There’s still things being kind of tried to resolve. I really would like to resolve and move forward.”
