Lexi Wood revealed how Jesse Solomon would punish her when she tried to pump the brakes on their whirlwind romance while appearing on a podcast last week.
As their strained relationship came to an end on Summer House after weeks of controversy surrounding Jesse’s involvement in Imrul Hassan‘s threesome and his flirting with Ciara Miller, 29, Lexi accused Jesse, 31, of retaliation, looked back on his need to be with her all of the time, and claimed he spun things off-camera about the entire cast, including his best friend, West Wilson, 30.
“I just felt like every single thing that I said to kind of like, be like, ‘Let’s chill out for a minute,’ would make him want it more. But also, almost, like, retaliate … He would almost, like, punish me,” Lexi, 27, shared on the May 20 episode of Not Skinny But Not Fat. “So every single time I’d be like, ‘Let’s relax,’ he would then go [say things behind my back]… And I never asked him to unfollow anyone.”
As she reflected on their time together last summer, Lexi said that Jesse often demanded to see her during the week, even though they were living together on the weekends in the Hamptons.
“He needed to see me every single day that we weren’t filming. He needed to be with me all the time, and I was like, ‘We live together on the weekends.’ And I actually sat him down and I was like, ‘Okay, I think we need to have a conversation because I feel extremely overwhelmed. We hang out too much. This is not normal. We already aren’t normal because we live together on the weekends. That’s already accelerating our relationship, but I need us to take a chill pill,’” Lexi shared.
“I said, ‘Look, the end goal of dating is always to get married, and then you spend forever together. So, we should be taking the time that we don’t have to be together and actually be loving that time too,’” she continued. “I was like, ‘You should have an independent life. I have an independent life. It gives more conversations. It gives more everything. We cannot be together all the time.’”
Still, according to Lexi, Jesse was unwilling to go slow.
“He would be like, ‘Oh my gosh, like, no, I need to see you more times a week than I don’t. I want to sleep with you every single night.’ It was, like, so much. He’s like, ‘I want to wake up with you every day.’ It was a lot for me, and I did feel overwhelmed,” she admitted.
Also on the podcast, after stating that Jesse has “a lot of growing up to do” before she can be his friend and noting that she “[doesn’t] trust him,” Lexi said she didn’t like “what [Jesse] spins behind people’s backs.”
“And not only about me. He just did me on camera. He spins so much off camera, it was overload for my brain [about] every single one of the cast members [including West]. Every single person and production,” she declared. “It just really sucked for me to be in that. But again, he knew I didn’t know. I was like, ‘Maybe this is how it works.’”
