Lexi Wood and Jesse Solomon had a whirlwind romance on Season 9 of Summer House. The two were immediately attracted to each other and engaged in a bit of flirting the first night in the Hamptons. That harmless flirtation would evolve into a messy (sort of?) relationship that frustrated fans and confused their co-stars. One moment they were breaking up over toe-gate, the next they were grinding in a club in front of Lexi’s mom. Yeah, it was a weird summer.
Their problems stemmed from communication issues and mismatched expectations. Jesse struggles with commitment, whereas Lexi is all about exclusivity and relationships. Jesse told Lexi he wanted to be in a relationship, but it was clear to fans he was not ready. He presented a version of Lexi to the cast that wasn’t quite right, painting her as a jealous girl with outlandish expectations while downplaying his more nefarious moments. I love Jesse, but this was not his finest moment.
Jesse has remained relatively quiet since the show began airing, but Lexi has been speaking up about her former flame’s behavior in the house.

Lexi Wood says Jesse Solomon used Ciara Miller as a scapegoat
Jesse is great at commitment when Lexi is in his line of sight, but once she’s not, his attention is up for grabs. He found himself in trouble one weekend when Lexi was visiting family in Canada. In her absence, he flirted with Ciara Miller and got his toe sucked by a stranger. Yikes. Lexi was upset about the toe-suck situation but tried to give him the benefit of the doubt when it came to Ciara. He told her that he views Ciara “like a sister” and she believed him.
Jesse always says he values his female friendships and wants a partner who gets along with them. So, you would think he wouldn’t want to create seeds of distrust among them, right? Well, according to Lexi, he did just that. During an appearance on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, she revealed that Jesse used Ciara as a scapegoat to avoid a relationship milestone.
“Meeting his family…He asked me before he even met my family to meet his because he knew his mom was coming into town,” she said. “It was always a plan. He called me the morning of and was like, ‘Ciara thinks you shouldn’t meet my family.'”
“I honestly don’t even know if that was real,” she added.
Jesse hasn’t publicly responded to the claim. Hopefully, we’ll get more clarity at the reunion.
Lexi Wood says Jesse Solomon was jealous of West Wilson’s fame
Lexi appeared on the May 7 episode of The Viall Files podcast where she dished about her fling with Jesse. She told host Nick Viall that Jesse made a few comments about being envious of the attention West Wilson got last season.
“He would say to me, ‘Oh, West got so famous for f*cking over Ciara,” she claimed. “He would say a lot of things about West. [In] hindsight … that actually is weird to say.”
She continued, “[Jesse] even said in a podcast, ‘The hate helps my algorithm, so keep going.'”
Lexi’s recent comments haven’t affected Jesse and West’s friendship as far as we know. The two still appear to be close friends.
Lexi Wood says she felt like a “possession” with Jesse Solomon
On Summer House, Lexi seems like the more controlling partner because she is the one asserting commands. But during her appearance on The Viall Files, Lexi said she felt “like a possession” in her relationship with Jesse, saying he told her not to trust multiple cast members.
“He’s one person on camera, one person off camera,” she said. “I said to him multiple times, ‘I feel like you’re isolating me, I feel like you’re manipulating me, I feel like I’m being gaslit all over the place.”
“He needed to hang out with me nonstop … It was consuming,” she said. “I felt like a possession, yes. I felt like if I didn’t fall in line with what he needed from me … he would end up just talking sh*t behind my back.”
Lexi says she believes there is more to toe-gate
Lexi shared her thoughts on toe-gate on the April 9 episode of Watch What Happens Live. She said she believes that there is more to the story after learning Jesse was in the room for 37 minutes.
“I don’t believe it was only a toe,” she said.
Jesse has always maintained that nothing else happened and a couple of his co-stars have backed him up, saying they believe him.
“He only got his toe sucked,” Ciara said on an episode of WWHL. “I really believe that. If he got more, he would’ve said it.”
