As a result of comedian Chris' solo touring plans, he was unable to sign up for the current arena tour of the dance show taking place up and down the country.

However, he and Dianne have managed to bag themselves another project to work on together in order to keep the public entertained.

The celebrity dancing duo will be fronting their very own weekly podcast.

Taking to Instagram, Dianne wrote: "Chris and Dianne are going to be hooking up for a weekly publicly available catch-up, otherwise known as a PODCAST.

"First episode out in just four days and counting.

"If you've got any questions for us, put them here and we will try to get around to answering some on the pod. See you all on Thursday."

Further confirming that some details were yet to be ironed out, Dianne then added: "We can't wait! Details on name and where to find it soon."

The announcement got fans excited as they quickly rushed to share their joy at the podcast.

One wrote: "Exciting news! Looking forward to it."

Another added: "Yes, can't wait. Tissues at the ready as we'll be crying with laughter or emotion!!!"

Their new career announcement comes after fans were left convinced that Dianne could quit Strictly after finally winning.

One wrote on a fan forum: "I can see Dianne leaving, I don’t think she’ll be able to top this partnership and this series and plus she’s wanted to branch out into tv as well."

Another agreed, adding: "Could easily host a tv show of some description."
