Strictly Come Dancing pro Vito Coppola shared some news with his followers after being forced to skip the beginning of the live tour which opened this weekend.
Vito Coppola shared a huge announcement with his fans after being forced to pull out of the Strictly Come Dancing live tour.
The Italian dancer, 32, was due to perform with dance partner Sarah Hadland, less than a month after the duo made it to the final of the competition in 2024.
But when the tour kicked off in Birmingham on January 17, Vito had no choice but to skip the beginning after suffering an injury to his back.
While Vito underwent therapy and other forms of treatment, he was replaced by fellow professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin, who was partnered with Olympian Sam Quek during the 2024 series.
But in a positive update, Vito revealed that we will be back on stage this week as his back is now "much better".
In a video shared on Instagram, the Strictly star was in high spirits as he continued: "I am definitely getting better and I will be back this week. I have been doing all the exercises every single day, all the therapy, all the physio - everything to recover as soon as possible.
"Recovering is my main goal right now. I'm going to be back with you on tour because I want to be able to dance for you and to share my love to you all.
Vito thanked his followers for the support they have shown him since he pulled out, adding: "I like this exchange of love. You have been giving me so much and I just want to give it back."
In the caption, Vito said: "Good morning beautiful people. I am here to bring good news. I am feeling better and I am recovering well and I will be finally able to be back on tour.
"I wanted to share with you this beautiful news because you have been so supportive and so kind to me. You sent me thousands of messages and I could feel all your love. You gave a massive contribution and I am so so grateful."
He added: "Back soon, during this week. Happy to join the gang on the Arena Live Tour."
The choreographer also revealed that he will be teaming up with Shirley Ballas and Giovanni Pernice for dance classes and workshops.
Vito was flooded with support from his friends and followers, with his former dance partner and Strictly winner Ellie Leach writing: "Yayyyyyyyy," accompanied with red heart emojis.
Former Strictly pro Graziano Di Prima added one red heart emoji, while Nancy Xu showed her support by posting four heart emojis underneath the video.
