Strictly's Nick Knowles has revealed the knee injury he sustained on the show 'will take nine months to fully recover' and is due to have surgery on it.
The TV presenter, 62, was eliminated from the BBC show in week three after previously being forced to pull out of Movie Week due to a shoulder and knee injury.
Nick also had to have surgery on his shoulder to reattach the bicep, with 'two or three months' of physiotherapy ahead.
As the TV host faces a lengthy and gruelling recovery process, he hopes to be in shape to tie the knot to fiancé Katie Dadzie, 33, next summer.
Speaking to The Sun, Nick revealed he will be 'resting until February' and then his DIY SOS duties await him.
'I'm really hoping I'll be back on my feet by then, although I won't be fully recovered until August next year.

As the beloved host faces a lengthy and gruelling recovery process, he hopes to be in shape to tie the knot with Katie, 33, next summer and perhaps - even to film DYI SOS
'We've booked our wedding for next summer and the plan is for us to be able to do a first dance.
'It won't be a full Strictly routine but I'm determined to have a special dance with Katie,' he added.
The TV veteran praised his 'amazing' fiancé for taking him to his hospital appointments and even 'to put his trousers on' as he can't do that himself.
Nick and Katie made their first public appearance in September 2021 and Nick proposed in New Orleans last July with a Haribo ring.
TV star Nick, split from his wife Jessica Rose Moor in 2016, before dating PR guru Emily Hallinan who he split from in February 2020.
He was also previously married to Gillian Knowles from 1996 to 2000.
Nick previously revealed his Strictly Come Dancing future when asked by a fan whether he'd be doing the end of series group dance.
When someone enquired on Instagram: 'Will you still be able to do the end of series dance in the final? Wouldn't seem right you not being there.'
Nick replied: 'I'm not sure my injuries will allow - I have to wait for the knee operation until the bicep operation has healed so I can use crutches afterwards.
'So I don't think recovery will be in time sadly.'
Last month the broadcaster shared a video from his hospital bed where he told fans he has 'two or three months' of physiotherapy ahead.

He said: 'Just woken up from my op.
'All went well by all accounts so I have a reattached bicep now so bit of physio over the next two or three months and all should be right as rain and back to 100% I think.
'So that's one down and one to go on the knee,' he added and captioned the video: 'All done - thanks to Mr Ahrens the surgeon and all the medical staff'.
Nick and Luba lost the dance-off to Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu.
When asked by Tess about their time on the show, Nick said: 'I've really, really been surprised by how much I've loved doing it and by two things that happen.'
He explained: 'One is how much you care each week, and the other is how much you don't want to let down your partner.
The TV presenter was well enough to return to Strictly but his comeback was short lived as he became the third celebrity eliminated
'The only reason I could do this is simply because of Luba's changes, she's been amazing.'
Luba said: 'I've never met someone as determined as you, and I remember you saying that if you do your best, you'll be very happy. I think you did more than your best. Thank you.'
When asked by Tess about his partner Luba, Nick shared: 'Luba's been amazing and just been so fabulous every day.
'And I should say thank you also to all the background staff, the physios, all the people that have actually got me through this week, and to all of my fellow competitors who have been absolutely astounding, beautiful people.
'There are some amazing dancers up there, and I will love watching the rest of the series.'
