Strictly Come Dancing star floors fans looking '10 years younger' after transformation liennhi

BBC Breakfast viewers were taken aback by Strictly Come Dancing champion Bill Bailey's fresh appearance.

The 60 year old multi-talented star graced the red sofa on Thursday (June 26) to discuss his forthcoming tour with hosts Naga Munchetty and Ben Thompson.

Yet, it was Bill's new cropped hairstyle that steered the conversation away from his tour, a stark contrast to his iconic flowing mane

Naga queried: "Are you ever going to grow your hair again?". To which Bill responded: "I quite like the short hair."

Naga complimented him, saying: "It looks lovely" and Bill concurred: "Especially now in the hot weather. It's great.", reports Edinburgh Live.

Viewers at home also noticed Bill's revamped look, with many suggesting it shaved years off his age.

On X, previously known as Twitter, one admirer wrote: "#bbcbreakfast He looks ten years younger."

Another viewer expressed: "He looks better with that straggly hair cut off #bbcbreakfast."

Meanwhile, a third remarked: "Bill has cut his hair off #bbcbreakfast."

Bill last year shared the reason behind his dramatic haircut, recounting a near-miss with his locks during a barbecue.

While on The Graham Norton Show, Bill recounted: "I was on a hiking holiday in the summer and at one point I was leaning over a barbecue and my hair caught on fire. I think the universe was telling me it was time."

The telly celeb humorously shared that he's often mistaken for a more youthful version of himself, quipping: "The other day someone came up to me and said 'You look just like Bill Bailey, but younger'. It's great."

Dancing sensation Bill triumphed on Strictly Come Dancing alongside his dance partner Oti Mabuse back in 2020.

Their dazzling victory was one for the history books, with Bill securing the title of the show's oldest ever champion, whilst Oti achieved the monumental feat of being the first professional to clinch the title two years in a row.

Oti had previously lifted the glitterball trophy in 2019 with Emmerdale's Kelvin Fletcher.
