Sarah Hadland has been flooded with messages, including from her former Strictly Come Dancing dance partner, as she celebrated a personal milestone.

The actress, who made it to the final of the BBC One dance contest at the end of last year alongside the Italian dancer, was celebrating her birthday on Thursday (May 15).

Sarah, who is famed for playing Stevie in the BBC sitcom 'Miranda', took to Instagram with photos giving a glimpse into her special day, which included her posing in a restaurant with a dessert that had been topped with a birthday candle.

Alongside the beaming post, the star wrote: "Happy birthday to me! Gorgeous day and I got a teasmade!!!! I can wake to tea in bed like it’s the 70’s - when I was born [hearts and crying laughing emojis] also ADR for Daddy Issues with Damon Beesly ( birthday twin ) and @thatdanielleward."

Meanwhile, Vito shared a string of posts to his Instagram Story. He started by resharing a picture of the pair during the one show they got to perform together during the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour earlier this year, as Vito had to pull out through injury.

"Happy Birthday Trilly @hadderstime. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL," the dancer gushed. He went on to reshare a post he penned ahead of the Strictly final and admitted: "If you didn't read this, do it now. I mean every single word."

He rounded off by sharing another post featuring pictures of the pair smiling, talking and hugging in the rehearsal room and said: "Till the end Trilly [fingers crossed emoji and red love heart]. @hadderstime Happy Birthday."

In Vito's previously mentioned post ahead of the Strictly final in December, he gushed: "Tonight is the night. Tonight is your night Trilly! Dedicated to you and all the women like you, that make this world a better place.

"Thanks in advance to all the people who are going to support tonight. Forever grateful."
