Kai Widdrington has declared he's 'back' in a move away from the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom, much to fans' delight.

The professional dancer, who joined the hit BBC One dance show back in 2021, having already enjoyed the role previously on the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars, is already confirmed to be taking part in the upcoming 2025 series.

But fans will recall that as the 2024 series got underway, Kai wasn't given a celebrity partner, much to viewers' upset. He was, however, still very much part of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series, partaking in the group numbers and performing during the musical acts that appear during the weekly results shows.

But after missing out on a celebrity partner during the hit dance show's 20th anniversary series, the dancer took part in the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2025 tour where he was seen back doing what he does best and was then in April confirmed in the professional line-up for Strictly's next run.

Kai will be back in the ballroom when the competition returns in a matter of weeks alongside Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones. Lauren Oakley and Neil Jones.

Also making up this year's pro line-up are Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Michelle Tsiakkas, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu and Vito Coppola.

It was also confirmed that two new professional dancers will be joining the show and the newcomers have since been revealed as So You Think You Can Dance champion Alexis Warr and Australia’s Dancing With The Stars' Julian Caillon.

But away from his Strictly return, Kai has revealed he's making another comeback as he's set to make an appearance at an upcoming Ballando dance class, which are put together by his friend and former co-star Giovanni Pernice.

The news was shared on Ballando's Instagram page with the message: "KAI WIDDRINGTON. It’s happening! LONDON - 14th September"

If you’ve done classes with Kai before, you know how much fun they are, and if you haven’t here’s what you need to know; you’ll have a lot of fun, you’ll work hard [and] you will at some point dance to either Bruno Mars or Michael Jackson - high chance of both!"Classes are open to all levels of experience, and he’s going to pick the styles on the day - think of it like dance roulette! Available to book now via the link in our bio where you’ll also find more details - we’ll see you there!"

Kai was quick to respond to the post, writing: "Im baaaaaaaaack [winking face emoji]," and fans were quick to show their support.
