Johannes Radebe has declared his love to one of his Strictly Come Dancing co-stars as they continued to support his huge venture away from the show's famous ballroom.

Fans of the dancer will know that he took part in the BBC One dance contest last year alongside Gladiators star Montell Douglas. The pair made it all the way to the quarter-final of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series before becoming the 10th couple to leave.

They later returned to dance together on Strictly for a last time during the final before going their separate ways as while Montell signed up for the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour, Johannes was already committed to making his first-ever appearance in a theatre show.

Audiences are currently seeing the 37-year-oldshine on theatre stages across the country as he made his theatre debut in Kinky Boots, in which he's starring as Lola.

The show, with music and lyrics by none other than Cyndi Lauper, tells the story of Charlie Price, who inherits his father's failing shoe factory and, with the help of the flamboyant drag queen Lola, creates a line of high-heeled boots, saving his business and discovering unexpected friendships.

And Johannes is clearly still loving his time in the role of Lola having kicked off his touring run back in January. He shared a string of pictures of himself as Lola on Instagram which he then shared on his Instagram Story with a message to his supporters.

The professional dancer said: "I see and READ the messages... Thank you for adding to me in the most beautiful way... It's a joy for all involved to share @kinkyboots_uk with you all. We appreciate the huge support."

His Strictly co-stars and fans were also quick to respond to his main Instagram post. Stacey Dooley, who won the show in 2018, simply commented: "OKAY." Fellow pro Karen Hauer said: "I just love ya," to which Johannes replied: "I love and miss you more." Johannes' former dance partner Annabel Croft also typed: "Gorgeous - can you come and do my make up please."

@jojo.radebe.fan wrote: "Absolutely stunning!! a dream role for you and what a dream it is to witness for us." @jobrad69 commented: "Saw you in Cardiff last night and what a show. Your voice is beautiful. Have fun and just love you."

@poppy.morrison_ shared: "I saw the show in Milton Keynes and you were just phenomenal. Who you knew you had that voice! Truly Lola was the role you were born to play." @sparklekitten81 added: "You just radiate joy. Getting to see you as Lola in Manchester was so special. Keep shining

It comes after Johannes and Montell were recently reunited as she headed to Edinburgh to watch him perform. The Olympian pulled out all the stops as she slipped into a pair of red thigh-high boots for the occasion, in keeping with the show, as well as sporting an equally vibrant blazer dress.

Sharing pictures of them together on Instagram, Johannes wrote: "My [heart] is full! @montytrackstar." And their friends and fans were thrilled to see them together again.

Tasha Ghouri said: "Iconic," alongside two love heart eyes emojis. Jowita Przystal and Dr Punam Krishnan responded with a string of red heart emojis while Shayne Ward's actress wife Sophie Austin commented: "This is beautiful."
