Amy Dowden has told fans 'it's getting real' after revealing how her Strictly Come Dancing co-star is involved her next big move. The dancer is currently preparing for her own headline tour with her friend and fellow dancer Carlos Gu.
Amy and Carlos: Reborn kicks off in just a matter of days, with the first show set for Monday (March 10) at the Birmingham Symphony Hall. It'll be later in March, on Friday 28, that the pair will arrive in Manchester for the show at Bridgewater Hall.
Fans who head to the show will see the dancers and friends take to the stage across the UK, with the show which is being described as "inspirational", alongside a dazzling cast of world-class dancers and vocalists.
And with the days until the opening show getting closer, Amy took to social media with an update. She shared a selfie to her Instagram Story in which she could be seen alongside dancers Jake Leigh, Lloyd Griffiths and her Strictly pal Neil Jones, who was previously revealed as being one of the creative sources behind the tour.
Alongside the post, Amy wrote: "Whilst we watch @gkx_carlos on stage having his moment!" before tagging those in the snap with her. She then added on Wednesday (March 5): "Big day tomorrow! Tech day! Friday double dress run!"
Amy, 35, went on: "It's getting real!! Open in 5 days! So proud of the entire team but also I turned to my Jake today and said, gosh my body hasn't worked this hard since before 'C'! He looked and said, 'Oh, I know!' I'm literally only off stage for the quickest quick changes but I wouldn't have it any other way! I LOVE EVERY NUMBER."
It comes after Amy revealed that fans will see a 'new' her when she hits the road. Taking to Instagram last month, Amy could be see relaxing alongside Carlos after a busy day working on the routines for their tour.
Captioning the sweet selfie, Amy penned to her fans and followers: "Tired, body aching but so unbelievably HAPPY! Nearly 8 our of 20 numbers complete!
"Even through the stitches I couldn't stop smiling today! In some numbers you are def seeing a very NEW Amy." She added: "Was also lovely to have my husband pop into rehearsals today!"
