Aljaz Skorjanec has told fans he's going 'solo' after his wife Janette Manrara was seen in tears as she spoke about their time apart. The couple are now in different countries with Aljaz heading home and Janette touring the country.
It was revealed back in January that dancer and presenter Janette would be making her stage debut in the iconic musical Chicago in the lead role of Roxie Hart as it tours across the UK.
Months on and Janette officially made her debut in the famous role last Monday (March 3) , after former Coronation Street star Faye Brookes emotionally finished up her time in the role.
The show is set to head to Birmingham and Bristol for its next run of performances and it has meant that Janette has left her husband and her daughter behind.
It was then on Monday (March 10) that, after spending some time with her Strictly Come Dancing pro husband and their one-year-old daughter over the weekend, Janette revealed that it was time for them to spend some time apart and became emotional as she shared the information with fans.
Taking to her Instagram Story with a video on Monday (March 10), Janette was wiping away tears as she said: "Hi gang, just said my goodbyes to Aljaz and Lyra and I won't see them for two weeks now. But, sharing is good because it makes us all feel better.
"I'm going to miss them a lot. It's the longest I'll be away from Lyra so starting the countdown until the day I see her again. But in the meantime, I'm going to stay strong and know that Mommy is making her proud and she's going to have the best time with her cousins and Nan in Slovenia."
Janette then added: "So anyways, to all the parents that have to say goodbye to their kids for work or whatever reason, it's always tough but we've got this. We've got it!"
Now, on Tuesday (March 11), Aljaz has given some updates on his and Lyra's travels to be with his family in Slovenia. Sharing pictures of the pair in the airport and on the plane, the dancer wrote on Instagram: "First solo trip."
And fans were quick to respond and wish Aljaz well for his travels. @alicoombes458 said: "Safe trip and have a lovely time." @cazwaz commented: "Bon voyage, have a lovely time." @ulayjr commented: "Have a lovely time safe travels."
