Aljaz Skorjanec has shared an adorable personal update on the same day he was seen heading back into rehearsals for Strictly Come Dancing.
The professional dancer delighted fans last year when he revealed that he was heading back to the BBC One show following a two-year hiatus.
During the 2024 series, Aljaz was partnered with former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and the pair, who had a run of perfect scores throughout the competition, made it to the final where they just missed out on the Glitterball to winners Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell.
But Aljaz is heading back to the ballroom for the upcoming 2025 series and was seen heading into rehearsals with his fellow pros on Monday (July 28) as they prepare to pre-record the group numbers for the upcoming run early next month.
However, the 35-year-old had another reason to celebrate as it was also his daughter's birthday. Aljaz shared his only child, Lyra Rose, with wife, and fellow Strictly star, Janette Manrara.
Taking to Instagram, Aljaz gave a glimpse inside their little girl's Minion-themed day and said: "And just like that, another year around the sun for our own sunshine Lyra Rose! Such a little legend you are.
"Can you guess the theme?! Happy 2nd Birthday Sonček! Mami and Ati love you more than you will ever know!"
And the birthday wishes quickly came flooding in. Gorka Marquez said; "Happy birthday beautiful Lyra," while Gemma Atkinson commented: "Beautiful Lyra! Happy birthday." Ashley Roberts replied: "Remember the day she was born! 2 years old. Eek. HBD Lyra."
Neil Jones shared: "Happy Birthday little Lyra." Fleur East posted: "Wow! She’s 2!!! Growing so fast. Happy Birthday Lyra." Michalle Ackerley added: "Aww Happy Birthday Lyra."
Meanwhile, Janette shared a video full of clips and pictures that showed how they celebrated Lyra's special day. Alongside the post, the It Takes Two host shared: "#MoodBoostMonday: It’s got to be this song in celebration of Lyra’s 2nd birthday today! Her little quick feet! Had to play it twice! Too cute!
"She’s dancing her little heart out w/ #PeterRabbit at her birthday outing! We spent the day just us three, playing, seeing the animals, dancing w/ Peter Rabbit, and of course having some much deserved chocolate cake at home and with a #Minion balloon party in the kitchen! Haha!"
Janette rounded off by saying: "Find your inner child and wiggle and dance as you would if you were a kid, no matter where you are."
