Stacey Solomon shows off epic Halloween front door with skeletons & autumn tree & reveals how you can copy on a budget ngocc

EVERY year Stacey Solomon never fails to amaze with her Halloween-themed front door, and this year is no different.

Despite it being September, the Loose Women star, 34, has already put up this year’s creation - and thankfully a lot wasn’t expensive and can be copied at home.

The incredible display features numerous gold skeletons, red roses and an autumnal tree draped over the front door at Stacey’s £1.2million Pickle Cottage.

The TV star shared a video of her DIY decorations and wrote: “The Halloween Door.

“One of my favourite traditions. Seeing the kids come home from school and gets so excited is my favourite.”

Stacey shared how she is “literally so proud” of this year’s door, particularly as she had got some bits for free.

More on Stacey Solomon

She explained: “Made from branches I scavenged off the side of the road, a cauldron I made from a bucket, skeletons I’ve collected over the years (other than Shazza on the door she’s new) and some pumpkins from our neighbour farmer Scott!

“And the best front door friend ever @emlouflowers who is as crazy as me & she’s my partner in crime in helping me make what’s in my head come to life.”

DIY Halloween door

In her Instagram Stories, Stacey showed her 6million followers how she had sprayed the branches to look a purple colour.

Her skeletons appeared to have been spray painted gold, and she also reused faux red roses from Rose’s birthday earlier this year.

She added: “All the flowers, the skeleton hands and Phil the skeleton half in the ground are poke into holes in the grout so they stay there.”

Stacey - who is married to TV host Joe Swash and is mum to Zachary, 16, Leighton, 12, Rex, five, Rose, two and one-year-old Belle - admitted she knew the door was up way in advance of Halloween.

She wrote: “I know it’s very early this year but I actually needed to finish it before our Halloween event here on Thursday.

“I need no excuses to start early though, I’m so glad it gets to stay up a little longer & I have an actual excuse!”

Previously, Stacey showed off an epic Halloween door, with the plastic skeletons of people and animals giving a nod to Joe's former EastEnders career, in which he played cheeky-chap Mickey Miller.

Fabulous' Commissioning Editor Martha Cliff weighs in on spooky season

WHILE some might be waiting for Mariah Carey to slowly defrost, I couldn’t care less that Christmas is less than 100 days away.

Has everyone forgotten that there are less than 50 sleeps until the best holiday of the year?

I’ve long preferred Halloween to Christmas and spend most of the year mourning the loss of spooky season.

Not that I don’t find ways to include it into my year.

In April I marked the halfway point to the best day of the year with a ‘half-o-ween’ picnic in a cemetery (where else?). Come July I needed to get my fix again and hosted a ‘Summerween’ barbecue complete with watermelon carving and Piña Ghoul-adas.

Christmas fanatics are often horrified by my snowy-season snub, but for me December is just a slew of stress and overspending.

I don’t know about you but wracking my brains for bigger and better present ideas and spending four times the amount of time and money at the supermarket is not my idea of a good time.

With Halloween there is no expectation to spend. Homemade costumes are often head and tails above the ones sold in the shops and when it comes to decorations what is better than a carved pumpkin that can cost just pennies to achieve?

In January kids return to school bragging about what Santa brought them this year, all with the hope of outdoing each other but November 1st is a different story.

Trick or treating is fair through and through. Unless you’re bribing the neighbours, children all receive the same, and whatsmore for free, eliminating any playground bragging rights.

Above all I love the chaos over curation when it comes to Halloween. There’s no obligation to strive for perfection, in fact the rule is the sillier the better. It’s all the childhood nostalgia of Christmas but without the pressure.

So spare me the Christmas spirit, I’ll opt for a fully fledged ghost any day.

Inside Stacey Solomon's Pickle Cottage

STACEY Solomon splashed out a massive £1.2million on Pickle Cottage - and Joe Swash didn't put in a penny.

She solely stumped up the cash for their Tudor-style Essex property, which is set in 2.5 acres and boasts an outdoor swimming pool.

The former X Factor star and Joe live there with Zachary, Leighton, Rex, Rose, and Belle.

It’s not known why Stacey went alone, as ex-EastEnders actor Joe is reportedly worth over £1million, but has also been made bankrupt twice in 2009 and 2013.

Shrewd Stacey has shown she’s a dab hand at running a wide range of successful businesses including TV, books, clothing and homeware ranges.

Her main firm Key Map Entertainments is worth just shy of £3million - and she's also branched out into cosmetics.

The former X Factor contestant registered the company Belle & Rose Ltd, named after her youngest two daughters.
