The Loose Women star issued a moving 'thank you' message with her followers after addressing an important family moment
Stacey Solomon shared a moving 'thank you' message with her followers after addressing the moment her beloved dog's world was 'turned upside down'.
It was back in April that the Loose Women star asked for their prayers as she revealed her beloved dog Teddy's health had suddenly deteriorated.
She told how she and her husband Joe Swash were told their pet pooch "might not ever fully recover", after Teddy suddenly lost the use of his back legs.
Stacey later revealed that vets had confirmed Teddy had suffered a burst disc with his spine "really worn" as the result of a predisposed condition which they "had no idea about".
At the time, Stacey said the family were "truly devastated" that their "sweet" dog had ended up in the situation he had, also saying he was "far too young" to be going through such a thing.
Stacey kept her followers informed as Teddy underwent a difficult surgery. He survived the op, and the critical post-surgery period, and has since been undergoing rehab at home, with the help of Stacey and Joe.
It was then on Friday (July 25), that Stacey took to Instagram with a new video of Teddy, who was able to run around with the family's other dog, Peanut, for the first time having been fitted with his own set of wheels.
Alongside a moving video of their four-legged friend enjoying time with the faily in the garden, Stacey shared with her millions of followers: "Our Darling Teddy has his wheels. We have spent the last few days trying to teach teddy a new way of getting around & he’s finally learning to love his wheels [crying face emoji].
"He was very nervous at first but seeing him today walking around with peanut again was so special. We have spoken to our vet & have bought teddy some wheels. If we are doing anything wrong please be kind.
"This is a totally new journey for us & we are doing our best to give teddy the best life he can possibly have. So just let us know if you have any tips."
She rounded off her post: "Teddy you’ve been such an amazing boy. We know your whole world has turned upside down but you’ve been so calm and patient and we hope we are giving you the second chance that you deserve. To the moon & back Teddy."
Stacey was quickly flooded with messages from her millions of followers and the Sort Your Life Out host later returned to her huge platform with a message for her loyal following over the weekend.
Resharing the video to her Instagram Story, the mum-of-five said: "Thank you [heart emoji] for all your lovely messages about Teddy. I've been reading them and it's just such an amazing feeling knowing there's so many of you out there wishing him the best [face holding back tears emoj]."
She added: "Also, thank you for your helpful comments too. I've swapped his wheel around and ordered some booties."
