During Tuesday’s instalment of Sort Your Life Out, BBC viewers saw Stacey Solomon on a mission to help The Bowens family transform their home.
Stacey Solomon was caught red-handed during the most recent episode of her BBC show Sort Your Life Out. During the programme, the star met single mum Katrina and her four children.
The family were keen for Stacey and the team to help them declutter their Welsh home in a bid for a fresh start. However, the process was no easy feat after exploring how much they had amassed in the five years they had lived in the home.
While helping the family move all of the contents of their house into boxes to be transported to the warehouse, it all seemed a bit too much for Stacey. The 35-year-old was spotted having a break while the team continued packing.
Sitting outside with a cup of tea and biscuits, she told the camera: “Don’t you follow me over here and judge me. Have you seen how much we’ve got to pack up?”
When it came to meeting the family again in the warehouse, they were in shock to discover how much they had. BBC viewers learnt they had a total of 425 stuffed animals, 37 scissors and 123 fancy dress outfits.
During the programme, Katrina’s oldest daughter recalled her cancer diagnosis at a young age. When she was 12, she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Burkitt’s lymphoma.
Speaking to Stacey in her bedroom about one particular item she had which reminded her of that time in her life, Tayla confessed: “It was very hard. I like having it just because it shows me that I’ve been through that, and it shows me how strong I am now as a person.”
As Tayla spoke about her experience, she broke down in tears as Stacey was quick to comfort her. Giving her a huge hug, Stacey told the teen: “You’re incredible.”
Tayla revealed that as of October last year, she got the all-clear and is now looking forward to moving forward with her life. However, there was one item from that tough time she was keen to find.
She said: “There is one thing I really want to find, it’s my beads of courage that I got during my hospital time. Every single treatment I had, we had a bead. I’ve lost them and I don’t know where they are. I’d love to find them.”
While in the warehouse, Stacey managed to find the beads as she called Tayla over to show her. The teen was overcome with emotion as she thanked Stacey for finding something so important to her.
When it came to renovating their home, Stacey put the beads in a frame on Tayla’s wall so that she wouldn’t be able to lose them again.
