Spencer Conley Shares ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ and Dating Update: ‘Looking to Find My Person’ tram

Giving the inside scoop…

Bachelor Nation got to know and love Spencer Conley on Season 21 of “The Bachelorette” while he strived to win Jenn Tran’s heart.

He was eliminated in Week 6 and has been sharing his life on social media since, often posting about his pet portrait business and adventures with friends and family.

He has opened up before about possibly going on “Bachelor in Paradise” but has now joined podcast hosts Susan Noles and Kathy Swarts on “Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour” to give a dating update.

Susan and Kathy dove right in and asked Spencer if he’s gone on any dates since his time on the show.

Spencer revealed, “I’ve been on one date. It was someone I knew before the show, we were just friends/acquaintances, and we went on one date. And it was an awesome date. She doesn’t live in Dallas, so that didn’t really pan out.”

The podcast hosts then asked Spencer if he would go to “Paradise” if he were invited, to which he admitted that he would love to meet some of the Bachelor Nation women.

“If I were single… I am single right now, but I’m actively looking to find my person. Like, that’s the whole reason I was on the show,” he said. “That’s kind of my North Star right now is finding my person, starting my family. But if the time rolls around and I’m still single, there are some fantastic women that have been through the franchise. I’m not super familiar with anyone outside of everyone on Joey’s season.”

Susan and Kathy inquired more and asked whether there’s anyone in particular he would like to see on the beach.

Spencer shyly laughed and answered, “There are some great options!” Kathy then teased the Bachelor Nation star a little bit, saying, “Look at his eyes twinkling there. You’re blushing!”

He followed up and shared, “I could think of worse places to find love than a beach in Mexico, so it would be such an awesome opportunity if I had the opportunity. And like the growth that I left with from the show, it honestly has altered the way I approach relationships.”

Spencer expanded more on his “Bachelorette” experience and explained how it’s changed his approach to dating.

He expressed, “It was a really interesting experience because there’s this finite amount of time and having been in a very serious relationship, an engagement before, I knew what I needed to know about someone, what I wanted someone to know about me. And with that time, it forces you to prioritize what’s most important and what’s least important because… I want them to know the foundational parts that make me the person I am.”

Susan and Kathy asked what are some of the qualities that Spencer is looking for in a partner, and he emphasized there are two that are very important to him.

“Number one and two, really high up there, is someone with a positive outlook on things,” he said, “I’ve dated people that have a very morose, negative outlook and it’s draining.”

He then shared the second quality, which is related to him wanting to be a “rock” for other people and hoping to find someone to do the same for him.

“The number two that would be very high up there,” he stated. “When I’ve been in those moments where life has knocked me down, I need to have that partner that can stand up and be there for me to lean on.”
