Southern Charm's Craig Conover Inspired This Iconic "Beautiful Train Wreck" Merch tram

Excited for the return of Southern Charm? Mmm-hmm! Ahead of the December 5 Season 10 premiere, we're looking back at some of our favorite moments from the series, including a pretty iconic Season 9 quote from Craig Conover. Read on to unpack the "beautiful train wreck" and score merch inspired by the moment.

After breaking up, Austen Kroll and Madison LeCroy did their best to avoid another on Southern Charm. When they finally did encounter one another in the Season 9 premiere, described the scene best: The tension between the two was "a beautiful train wreck." Naturally, this Craig-ism inspired a Shop by Bravo product. This tee is the perfect addition to any fan's collection of Bravo merch.

To set the scene: At the beginning of Season 9, Madison was celebrating her marriage to Brett Randle with an after-party in Charleston. She invited Austen to attend the get-together, and he accepted.

"It's just a beautiful train wreck," observed Craig in an interview during the episode. He then explained what he meant by that: "You know, no one really gets hurt in the train wreck, but like, a lot of things catch on fire and blow up."

That pretty much sums up what happens when things escalated between the former partners, but they were completely polite with one other to honor Madison's day. Catch the moment Austen met Brett in the clip, below.

In fact, Austen even joked that he was going to give a toast to the happy couple. When Madison encouraged him to say something, Craig and Shep Rose couldn't resist joining in.To Austen's credit, he stepped up to the plate. It was short and sweet: "Cheers to the happy couple!"

Shep said the toast was "very profound." Austen, however, needed a moment to process what just happened. "What the f-ck am I doing?" he asked the guests, which received some laughs.

"It's just such a beautiful train wreck," said lovingly, felt like the exact right way to describe the occasion. Craig, of course, has always had a way with words. He even inspired our tin foil hat baseball cap due to his penchant for goofy conspiracy theories.

So, while you wait to tune into Southern Charm Season 10, reflect on the joys of slightly uncomfortable wedding party toasts with the tee below.
