Southern Charm alum Kathryn Dennis has a lookalike in her 11-year-old daughter, Kensie.
On Tuesday, July 29, Dennis, 33, shared a selfie of her and Kensie, who has very similar facial features to her mom.
“❤️Love over all ❤️truth on the way ❤️[also bad bronzer day lol oh well],” she captioned the Instagram photo. “Love is truth and I’m not afraid ❤️.”
The former Bravo star shares Kensie and son Saint, 9, with ex Thomas Ravenel.
After Ravenel, 62, and Dennis called it quits in 2016, they went through a tumultuous custody battle where Ravenel ended up getting sole custody of the kids in February 2023. Despite the outcome, Dennis is still allowed supervised visitation rights every other weekend.
Dennis has previously opened up about seeing her children intermittently because of her and Ravenel’s custody agreement.
“When I am with you I feel so alive again…even when you can’t see me or hear me I am always thinking of you…know that our love connects us by an invisible string, always,” she wrote via Instagram in September 2023 alongside photos of her, Kensie and Saint bowling together. “I know that we will make it through these tough times and they won’t last forever. 🙏♥️”
The reality star, who starred on Southern Charm from season 1 through season 8, said she was “sending strength to all of the coparents out there.”
“No matter the situation being without your children is the most difficult pain you must carry each and every day you are without them,” she said. “It’s so unnatural and such a drawn out devastation. We need each others love and support — here’s to hope for the future ♥️.”
Dennis has made headlines through the years for her legal issues, including when she was arrested for reportedly driving under the influence in May 2024.
Goose Creek, South Carolina police confirmed to Us Weekly that Dennis was involved in a three-car collision and responding officers described Dennis as having “glossy eyes and an odor of alcohol coming from her person” when they approached her.
Dennis was scheduled to appear in court that June, but her attorney requested a continuance and jury trial.
After eight seasons on Southern Charm, Dennis announced her departure from the show in January 2023.
“What a wild ride it’s been! Can you believe I was 21 when I first started Southern Charm, back in its first season?” she told People in a statement at the time. “That was in 2013, and in the decade that followed, it’s safe to say my life changed in ways I could never imagine. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’m so lucky to have had reality cameras there, capturing so many moments that I’ll never forget (and a few, even, that I’d like to).”
Dennis thanked her fans for watching her “grow up” and become a “mom to two amazing children and build friendships I’ll always treasure.”
“Through it all, the love y’all have shown for me not only gave me the strength I needed to tackle it all, but helped me realize that I wasn’t alone. I’m so grateful,” she shared. “I’ll be carrying that love with me as I enter this next chapter of my life, away from the Southern Charm lens. I’m thankful for Bravo, the producers at Haymaker and my Charleston castmates for everything.”
