Someone needs to alert Jarrett "JT" Thomas' mom not to open Instagram until the coast is clear.
The Southern Charm alum, 40, took to his Instagram Stories on Monday, Aug. 11, to share a few photos of himself relaxing on a night alone during his trip to Washington, D.C. — even going as far as including a nude selfie from the hotel bathroom.
The bare-bottomed photo was shared with the song "Pancho and Lefty" by Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson playing.
"last one night, sorry mom & fam lol," he captioned the revealing snap.
Thomas didn't just share the nude selfie out of the blue; he worked his way up to it throughout the evening.
Things kicked off with him sharing a photo from his bed utilizing the mirror across from him. This post was set to "On the Road Again" by Nelson.
Thomas then shared a close-up selfie with "Highwayman" by The Highwaymen — Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson and Johnny Cash — playing over it.
"The Bravery one feels alone, ~half a bottle of wine deep in a hotel far away from home.. I know you all get it. #shameisaflaw," he captioned it.
After sharing his nude selfie, Thomas shared a video of himself addressing his followers about his eventful evening.
"All right, it's time to go to bed," he told the camera. "Clearly, I've had enough wine."
Thomas thanked everyone for their support and their direct messages, joking, "I'm canceling myself, goodnight."
"G'Night from my hotel room in DC," he captioned the video.
On Tuesday, Aug. 12, Thomas shared a photo of himself enjoying the sunshine-filled day with "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins, from the Top Gun soundtrack, playing over it.
Thomas announced his departure from Southern Charm after two seasons in November 2024.
"It comes with a heavy heart to share that I have resigned from Southern Charm," he wrote in an Instagram post shared at the time, adding that he left the show before season 10 had finished filming.
Thomas, who first joined the reality show in season 9, said he had informed Bravo that he "no longer wish[ed] to participate in any ways moving forward with the TV show."
He concluded: "I will leave it at that for now.. while I work on next steps to recover both physically and mentally from what has been an extremely challenging & exhausting year."
