Leo Braudy and Brittany Wisniewski got engaged during Love Is Blind Season 7, but for reasons that remain mysterious (actually not really, gonna get to them in a minute) producers decided not to include them among the six couples who went to Mexico.
As the show put it, “Brittany and Leo were not one of the six couples chosen by producers to continue their journey in Mexico. They took their own trip to Miami and broke off their engagement weeks later.”
Soooooo, where do Leo and Brittany stand now? Well, they definitely didn’t get back together.
The exes spoke to People about the split and confirmed that they’re 1) not together, and 2) still friends. “Although we had an amazing time, we just decided that we didn’t see ourselves really proceeding with a full engagement leading to marriage and we’re just better off as friends,” Leo said, while Brittany explained that “the physical connection just simply wasn’t there, honestly. It was a very clean, respectful realization. He’s just not my person.”
As for why Brittany and Leo weren’t chosen for the group trip to Mexico, executive producer Chris Coelen previously told Variety that they didn’t have the budget to feature everyone, and had to choose who seemed “most authentically likely to actually be at the altar and say ‘I do.'”
“We felt, at the time, that the six couples we did end up following were the ones that felt more, on a gut level, had a real shot to say ‘I do’—that they were really invested in saying ‘I do,'” Chris explained. “The couple that I think we felt least likely to do that were Leo and Brittany.”
Meanwhile, Brittany said “I knew we were the weakest link. Let’s just be honest, I was the only one that didn’t say, ‘I love you’ back to the person I was engaged to, so I was not surprised.”
