Sharon Osbourne's Jaw-Dropping Earnings Revealed: A Whopping Sum Per Minute for Her Brief Celebrity Big Brother Appearance! trucc

Sharon Osbourne may have only spent days in the Celebrity Big Brother house, but her bank account reaping all the benefits.

The former X Factor judge entered the famous compound on launch night along with the likes of Louis Walsh and Fern Britton.

Sharon became the first-ever celebrity lodger, meaning not only was her time limited, but she slept in her own room and was immune from nominations.

In turn, she could not nominate either, but that didn’t stop her from setting the cat amongst the pigeons by putting fellow housemates up for eviction – and saving them.

It was previously rumoured that Sharon was paid a whopping £100,000 each day for her stint on the show, but it now seems the figures are much more eye-watering.

According to MailOnline, the TV icon earned just under £7,000 per minute she was on screen – think of all the Chanel she could spend that on!

Sharon, 71, spent nine days in the house, with the first nine episodes of the series totalling nearly eight hours.

Out of those eight hours, a mega two hours and 13 minutes went to Sharon alone.

This calculates to £6,767 per minute, including Sharon’s entrance, eviction, and interview on the spin-off show Late & Live.

In the first episode, Sharon garnered 14 minutes and 58 seconds of airtime.

But it was the eighth episode that saw her feature most, for a total of 24 minutes and 39 seconds.

Her post-exit interview on Late & Live lasted for seven minutes and 52 seconds.

It was initially speculated that Sharon would only reside in the CBB house for five days but, much to the delight of viewers, she stayed for four extra days.

While ITV might have a hole in its pocket now, there’s no denying they got their money’s worth with her.

Sharon was never short on showbiz tea, and frequently spilled secrets and put former co-stars on blast as she exposed anecdotes from her personal life.

Most famously, she and Louis, also 71, well and truly slated Simon Cowell, fashion sense and all.

Reflecting on their days as talent show judges, the pair discussed how Simon ‘cuts you off’ as Sharon alleged he didn’t ‘know how to keep friends’.

Talk also turned to The Masked Singer, with Sharon claiming she had been asked to do the first US series in 2019, but had to turn it down due to being contracted for The X Factor – before being dropped – and that’s why she was ‘so f***ing mad with Simon’.

‘I missed a huge gig,’ she blazed. ‘I went mad when they told me. And then he called me. He was trying to sweet talk me.’

Sharon and Louis then ripped into Simon’s unchanging fashion sense over ‘probably three decades’, as well as his catchphrases on talent shows like, ‘Do you have another song?’, ‘I didn’t like it, I loved it’, and ‘Tell me your story’.

Simon wasn’t the only one facing the wrath of Sharon, though.

The Osbournes star was criticised by viewers for taking things ‘too far’ when she targeted Adele and her accent.

Attempting to impersonate the Grammy winner’s accent, she said: ‘I think that she plays on the, “Oh love… I’m so English.”

‘And it’s like, cut the crap, you don’t talk like that anymore. Just sing, be true to who you are. But she does all this old English, you know?’

Sharon also made time to slate James Corden and branded Anna Wintour with a C-word expletive – all in a day’s work.

As for her CBB exit, the TV queen got all emotional as the housemates hosted a farewell tea party for her.

As the group raised a toast to her, Sharon became visibly tearful when listening to their sweet messages.

Sharon told them: ‘I’ve had a great time, met new friends and I’m gonna watch you all on your paths… and may all your dreams come true.’
