Quad Webb, one of the stars of Married to Medicine, has openly criticized the production team for airing sensitive remarks made by Dr. Simone Whitmore about Quad’s niece during the Married to Medicine season 10 reunion.

In a recent Instagram Live conversation with Dr. Heavenly Kimes, Quad explained that she had reportedly pleaded with production to remove the comments after they were made, labeling the subject as:

"Sensitive and delicate topic."

A snippet of the live session was posted on X by the page @livebitez on December 23, 2024. Quad explained:

“When Simone said that, in reference to New York [...] I went directly to the control room immediately, and I pleaded with production [...] I trusted that they would remove that,”

She expressed heartbreak over the incident, adding that it not only caused her family pain but also strained her relationship with them. “It just was distasteful,” she concluded.

What happened during the Married to Medicine season 10 reunion

The controversy stems from the Married to Medicine season 10 reunion, which aired on March 3, 2024. In part 1 of the reunion, Simone referenced a family tragedy—the drowning of Quad’s niece in her pool—during a heated discussion. The reunion marked the first time Quad and Simone had sat face-to-face since their tense dinner in Napa Valley earlier in the season.

Quad, visibly upset, later addressed the matter on social media, questioning Simone’s motives and the production’s judgment. In a post shared on X, Quad wrote:

“Where is the humanity [...] I’m a real person with a family that’s in pain and we’re struggling every day trying to heal.”

She further described Simone’s remarks as “insensitive” and accused production of using her family’s tragedy as entertainment. Quad also called out the group’s alleged perceived double standards, saying:

“The expectations for me that they are not willing to uphold themselves”

She reiterated her disappointment in the production team for failing to prioritize her family’s well-being. Despite the backlash, the reunion continued to explore the group’s dynamics, with Quad and Simone’s strained relationship taking center stage.

Quad's live: A deeper look

In the same live session, while reflecting on her immediate reaction during the reunion taping, she said,

“I felt like, okay, you know, let’s just move forward. I can deal with the personal pain, but it’s not magnified because my family won’t see it.”

However, the footage was ultimately aired, leaving Quad and her family deeply hurt. She explained the strain it caused within her household, saying,

“My family responded to me because they’re thinking, well, you’re a part of this life [...] and I had to try my very best to explain it.”

Quad also mentioned the personal toll it took on her as she tried to navigate the situation. “It just was, it was distasteful,” she emphasized.

What happened in the latest episode of Married to Medicine

Married to Medicine season 11 episode 5, titled Blow Up on the Ranch, aired on Sunday, December 22, 2024. The episode continued the group’s cast trip to a dude ranch, where tensions remained high despite efforts to foster unity among the ladies.

The episode showcased a dramatic photoshoot organized by Toya Bush-Harris, which included cowgirl outfits and even a surprise appearance by Beyoncé tribute artist Miss Shalae. However, the highlight of the episode was the explosive dinner that followed, where unresolved issues resurfaced.

Dr. Heavenly Kimes and Dr. Contessa Metcalfe clashed during the dinner, with the argument escalating to the point where security had to intervene. Dr. Heavenly’s commented:

“Do this sh*t with your husband because that’s the motherf-cker you’re mad at,”
