The TV presenter chatted to Tommy Fury on Loose Women

Ruth Langsford has appeared to subtly reflect on her marriage split from Eamonn Holmes during a chat with Tommy Fury on Loose Women, following his split from Molly-Mae Hague. Earlier this year, Ruth and Eamonn announced the end of their marriage after over a decade together.

The couple got hitched in June 2010, after having dated for 13 years, and share a son, Jack, together. Eamonn has three other children, Declan, Rebecca and Niall, with his first wife Gabrielle, reports the Manchester Evening News.

A rep said in May: "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."

Tommy and Molly-Mae, both 25, fell for each other on Love Island in 2019 and welcomed daughter Bambi last year. They were celebrating five years together and a year since their engagement when news of their parting sent shockwaves among fans.

Molly-Mae announced the break-up on Instagram, with Tommy following shortly after with a separate statement on social media, but neither has given the reason for the split.

Tommy has recently given interviews to promote his new book, Lightening Can Strike Twice, and even added an extra chapter to share his side of the break up story. On Loose Women, Ruth questioned him on his split with his former fiancée after he previously insisted he had no interest in speaking on the subject.

She said: "Obviously, nobody could have missed the story that you and Molly-Mae had sadly broken up, we were all very sad to read that because we had all followed this wonderful love story of the two of you on Love Island.

"You have written about it in your book, because they delayed the publication of the book for you to write this last chapter. And you've said you don't want to go into detail about it, but how are the two of you doing? And you're obviously co-parenting Bambi and it's a tricky time."

Ruth then added: "As I know going through these things in public, you know, everyone's got something to say, without knowing the truth."

Tommy responded: "Everyone is entitled to a private life and me and Molly we got together when we was very young, And we just think going forward everything should be private now because everyone is entitled to that and that's what I want. Not only for me but for Bambi as well, for her sake."
