The judges and viewers were blown away by their performance

There was no elimination in last week's show and a shock twist saw Olympian Jack Woolley win immunity from this week's elimination.

And for the first time this series, the two celebrities who received the lowest score had to face the dance-off.

The nine celebrity contestants hit the dance floor for another performance hoping to impress both judges and viewers again tonight.

Comedian Gearoid Farrelly and his pro partner Stephen Vincent danced Contemporary Ballroom to Irish singer Niamh Kavanagh's Eurovision winning song, In Your Eyes.

Niamh won in 1993 when Eurovision was held in Millstreet, County Cork, with the beautiful ballad.

Speaking about his dance during rehearsals, the stand-up comic told how it is "fitting" as he's been "good friends" with Niamh since he was 14 as they are neighbours.

Speaking on the show, Niamh said: "He came and visited me and knocked on my door, because he decided we were going to be friends.

"He used to come and leave little gifts for me. He wrote me lovely letters which I have kept just in case I ever need to blackmail him."

The Eurovision singer joined Gearoid and Stephen in the rehearsal studio and admitted she was "worried" that he would be dancing to Better The Devil You Know by Sonia from United Kingdom, who she "beat in 1993".

Niamh went on to say: "I remember when he said he was going to do this [Dancing With The Stars]. I was so excited for him.

"I am delighted that he is dancing to In Your Eyes. I'm super excited, he better do it good."

Brian Redmond, Arthur Gourounlian, Loraine Barry Karen Byrne were back to give their professional and tough-talking reviews and scores tonight.

And they were so impressed with Gearoid's dance moves.

Loraine told the pair that their dance was "so beautifully done" and said it was "fully loaded" with all the relevant dance moves.

'FANTASTIC'

Arthur added: "Imagine telling fourteen-year-old Gearoid that in thirty years from now, he'd be dancing to his friend's song on national television, barefoot - iconic."

Brian admitted they looked "a little under pressure" but said the lifts were "absolutely fantastic".

The pair were delighted to receive a total score of 31 from the judges.

RTE viewers all raced to social media to share their love for Gearoid's outstanding performance.

One fan said: "Fitting tribute and performance to @niamhkavanagh In Your Eyes. Well done."

Stephen wrote: "Gearoid!!! That was beautiful and again the song choice, PERFECT!"

Anthony added: "Goodness, Gearoid has some surprisingly great moves. Could be a serious dark horse for the competition."
