Robyn Dixon Confirms Exit From 'The Real Housewives Of Potomac': "I Was Fired" tram

Another one bites the dust. Following weeks of speculation, Robyn Dixon confirmed that she was “fired” from The Real Housewives of Potomac after starring in eight seasons of the hit Bravo reality show.

Dixon, who was an original cast member, announced the news of her exit on Monday’s (April 15) episode of her and co-star Gizelle Bryant‘s Reasonably Shady podcast.

“Yes, I will not be returning to Season 9 of The Real Housewives of Potomac,” she said. “It’s reality. The network did not invite me back. I was fired, for lack of better words. I will not sugar-coat the situation and say, ‘Oh, I am walking away and this is a break’ or anything like this. This was a network decision.”

The reality star revealed that she waited to share the news until after the Season 8 reunion finished airing to “respect the network and respect the show,” insisting that there were no hard feelings.

“I’m OK with it, because nothing lasts forever. I’ve had a very long run on the show … and I just really appreciate that time and the opportunity that I had on the show,” she said.

Dixon went on to thank Bravo, the production companies and the executives who cast her on the show before praising the fans who have supported her over the years.

“Whether you directly sent me love or you prayed for me or you just have positive energy and positive thoughts around me, I appreciate you,” she said. “And I hope that I inspired you the viewers, the fans, to live your life authentically, to not feel pressure to change for anyone or society, or to impress people, and just to be yourself.”

She then became emotional as she turned her attention toward Bryant.

“It’s so crazy because we still have Reasonably Shady but I really want to say I love you,” she told her co-star through tears. “And it’s been such a fun, amazing, stressful, crazy, wild journey the past eight years. I couldn’t imagine doing what we did with anyone else.”

Dixon is the latest RHOP star to announce her departure from the series. Last month, Candiace Dillard Bassett announced that she was planning to “take a break” from the show to focus on a “whirlwind of new opportunities and responsibilities.”

“This is not a farewell, but a ‘see you later,'” she said in a statement shared with People.
