The Real Housewives of Potomac has reportedly found its newest full-time cast member: Nneka Ihim, a Boston-born attorney whose family is from Nigeria.
The news came on the heels of reports that the cast had begun filming season eight, as Ashley Darby was spotted filming with a newbie.
According to sources speaking to TV Deets, Nneka is entering the cast of RHOP in a full-time position.
Nneka was born in Boston but is Nigerian at heart, and she works as an attorney who specializes in financial technology, per the outlet. She also owns a line of champagne.
Nneka’s LinkedIn profile says she graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School and the University of Michigan. She’s reportedly the daughter of Leo Egbujiobi, a philanthropist and renowned interventional cardiologist.
Beyond her career in law, Nneka previously was a CNN correspondent. She lives with her husband Dr. Ikenna Ihim – a night lounge investor and physician – in the area of Potomac.
Production insiders claimed Nneka attended Ashley’s housewarming party, the first full-cast event in season eight.
In the recent past, Nneka and Dr. Ihim hit the headlines after throwing an elegant D.C. wedding featuring Tiwa Salvage, a singer from Nigeria.
Although Charrisse Jackson-Jordan attended the housewarming party, she isn’t expected to join the cast full-time. The outlet also reports that Mia Thornton’s (former) friend Jacqueline Blake will not receive a champagne flute despite recent rumors.
Real Housewives of Potomac season eight is currently filming and reportedly will air in the fall.
