‘RHOP’ star Gizelle Bryant reacts to Karen Huger’s jail sentence in DUI case: ‘I am shook’ tram

“Real Housewives of Potomac” star Gizelle Bryant is “shook” after hearing about her co-star Karen Huger’s one-year prison sentence.

“This just happened today,” Bryant said of Huger’s sentencing during the Gizelle 21 Shady Questions Live event on Wednesday, per Us Weekly.

“I do not have her wigs. I am concerned. In all seriousness, I am concerned for her safety. Karen ain’t cut out for jail.”

Bryant, 54, added, “I pray that she’s OK and that the Lord is with her.”

Earlier in the day, Huger was sentenced to a two-year prison term, with one year suspended, during a hearing in Montgomery County, Md.

The Bravolebrity will only spend one year behind bars.

Huger — an original “RHOP” cast member — has 30 days to file an appeal.

She reportedly became overcome with emotions during the hearing, according to the Baltimore Banner.

“I understand better the brutal clarity of the fact that when you’re behind a car driving you’re not just driving for yourself,” Huger, 61, told the judge.

Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge Terrence McGann addressed the fact that Huger has received four driving violations since 2006.

“Can we believe that she’s only driven while intoxicated four times in the last 17 years or is it more likely that she’s been very lucky and her inebriation has gone undetected?” he said.

The reality star was found guilty of DUI in December 2024.

Huger was convicted on five out of six charges, including driving under the influence (DUI), negligent driving, failure to control speed and failure to notify authorities of an address change after she crashed her 2017 Maserati in March 2024.

“Although we are disappointed in the jury’s verdict, we of course respect their decision and appreciate their time hearing our case,” Huger’s lawyer A. Scott Bolden said in a statement to Us Weekly at the time.

“We continue to reserve Mrs. Huger’s right to an appeal and intend to fully pursue justice on her behalf. We appreciate your support and prayers for Mrs. Huger and her family at this time.”

Prior to Wednesday’s sentencing, Huger’s legal team had pushed for rehabilitation instead of jail time.

Huger skipped the “RHOP” Season 9 reunion taping last month after checking herself into rehab.
