The Real Housewives of New Jersey” may be on hiatus right now, but that isn’t stopping Dolores Catania from hosting her annual charity softball game in Brooklyn on Wednesday, August 6.
As reported by Brooklyn Paper, the event will take place in Maimonides Park, and proceeds will go to Maimonides Breast Center.
“I was told about the event, where the doctors play against celebrities. So they asked me to play, and that’s how it started. Then I asked my castmates to play, and it just grows bigger every year,” the reality star told the publication.
Set to join Catania at the softball event are “RHONJ” cast members Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Jenn Fessler, Rachel Fuda, and Danielle Cabral.
According to Dolores’ Instagram post promoting the game, the men of “RHONJ,” Frank Catania, his son Frankie, Joe Gorga, Nate Cabral, and John Fuda will lend their support.
Dorinda Medley, formerly of “The Real Housewives of New York City,” will also be in attendance, with former star of “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” Kelly Bensimon, as well as “The Real Housewives of Miami” star, Guerdy Abraira.
‘RHONJ’ Fans Wonder Why Teresa Giudice is Absent From the Charity Game
Missing from Dolores’ roster was her best friend and “RHONJ” OG, Teresa Giudice, along with Jennifer Aydin.
Giudice replied to Dolores’ post with three red heart emojis, indicating that the two were still close, but fans still wondered why the mom of four wasn’t slated to be there.
Last year, Giudice explained her absence on the “All About TRH” podcast by sharing, “I was in Turkey with Jennifer.”
She added, “Of course, I would have went, yeah. Dolores is my girl. We always support each other. Listen, I was in another country.”
Dolores Has Remained Friends With All the ‘RHONJ’ Stars
Although Giudice and Melissa are feuding, Dolores has managed to remain neutral and be friends with both sisters-in-law.
Dolores, who was friends with Giudice first, told the Daily Mail, “Listen, does she love it? I’m sure she doesn’t love it.”
She continued, “But she doesn’t hate it either, because there’s no reason not for me to be friends with Melissa. I was there from the beginning, and I’ve been friends with them through their ins and outs, so Teresa’s not really one to tell people who they can be friends with.”
“I keep in touch with everyone. The other day, I was with Teresa, Jen Aydin, and Kim D on her podcast,” Dolores said.
