Larsa Pippen suggested that a viral photo of her was altered, as fellow Bravoleb Dr. Jen Armstrong denied her claim that facial swelling in the pic was caused by an allergic reaction to PRP injections.
Last week, the Real Housewives of Miami star clapped back at a doctor who claimed on social media that her facial swelling in a recent photo was due to too much filler. In a comment, Larsa shared that she simply had an allergic reaction to PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections.
In a new video Larsa posted on social media, the star addressed the photo again.
“I’m wondering if someone made [the photo] look like that,” said Larsa in a video. “Because this is what my face looks like, you guys. I’m on TV, so you know what I look like.”
Larsa added that they just shot the reunion, so fans will see her actual appearance there.
“I did have PRP. I did have an allergic reaction to the PRP, which I didn’t even know you can have,” she continued. “So my face is a bit swollen, but it doesn’t look like that. So keep on hating, guys.”
Larsa stood strong in her belief that her photo was altered (Reality Blurb can confirm the photo we shared above on the top right was obtained directly from Getty Images and has not been altered) when commenting to a fan under her recent Instagram post.
“It’s not how I look. I wonder who enhanced my face and sent it everywhere,” wrote Larsa to a fan who asked about her viral picture.
Meanwhile, a former ‘Housewife,’ cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Jen Armstrong, addressed Larsa’s reaction to the photo.
“This is not an allergic reaction,” said Dr. Jen on Instagram. “The ever-changing face … Her face keeps changing, and she stated that she had an allergic reaction to PRP, which is actually impossible because PRP is when you take your own blood, spin it down, and put the growth factors back into your face. It just came out of your bloodstream, so you can’t be allergic to something that just came out of your bloodstream.”
“[And] you don’t get PRP in your lips,” she added, suggesting that Larsa’s lips are also swollen. Jen then suggested that Larsa “probably [got] Botox” in her forehead.
Addressing the “mid-face,” Jen added, “This is filler. This is so much filler. It’s just like widening her face, creating this nasal labial fold … When you put all this filler in the mid face it creates a nasal labial fold … It’s too much filler in the wrong place.”
Jen believes it’s the result of “hyaluronic acid filler done incorrectly.” The doc said Larsa got too much “filler” in her lips, giving the appearance of “sausage lips.”
