RHOM's Alexia Echevarria Fires Back at Teresa Giudice Comparisons: Unveiling the Truth Behind the Drama! tram

Ever since Alexia Echevarria returned to the Bravo-Peacock universe in 2021, fan accounts have flooded social media comparing the “Cuban Barbie” to “Housewives” all-star Teresa Giudice.

“Am I the only one that thinks Alexia and Teresa look like they could be sisters? #RHOM #RHONJ,” one person tweeted, receiving more than 600 likes.

Another added, “Alexia being compared to Teresa makes sense now since both of them are Tauruses and the main girls in their respective shows #RHOM #RHONJ.”

Echevarria, 54, exclusively told Page Six this week that her husband Todd Nepola — who keeps a closer eye on social media chatter than she does — alerted her to the comparisons.

“‘Babe, they don’t mean physically,'” the “Real Housewives of Miami” star says she told her husband. “They mean, like, my character, and all the adversity that we’ve gone through, and that we’re such strong women, and we’re good moms. We have a lot of similarities.”

“But not that we physically look alike, because we don’t,” she adds. “If we did, that’s fine, too, but [Nepola] didn’t get that.”

As Echevarria said, both women have been very open about their personal struggles throughout their respective runs on reality TV.

Giudice, 49, was sentenced to 41 months in prison for tax fraud in 2014 along with her husband Joe Giudice; the former couple subsequently had a very public divorce after 20 years of marriage.

Echevarria, on Season 4 of “RHOM” alone, has opened up about her late ex-husband Herman Echevarria’s secret gay affair and Nepola’s clashes with her eldest son Peter Rosello.

“She’s a very strong woman,” Echevarria says of Giudice. “She’s had to overcome so much, but she still gets back up on her feet, she keeps on going, and I’m very happy for her that she found love again.”

The “RHOM” star says she has not met the “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” star yet in person but praises Giudice for how she’s handled recent reports about her fiancé Luis Ruelas’ past.

“This is what we signed up to do,” Echevarria recognizes. “It’s her narrative, it’s her story. She should be able to say how it really happened because nobody knows her life more than she does, which is the same thing I say about my life.”
