Tamra Judge isn’t the only Real Housewives of Orange County star to have a go at Gretchen Rossi and her look. But perhaps it is Emily Simpson’s season to be more confrontational. At least towards Katie Ginella.
Gretchen is returning to RHOC after a decade off-screen. It’s been a relatively warm return. So Emily’s little tiff with her new cast mate is really all in good fun.

Emily teased Gretchen’s wardrobe choices during a recent appearance on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. The lawyer likened them to “costumes,” with one standing out as very Little House on the Prairie. For her part, Tamra suggested her rival needed a makeover.
“We actually get in an argument [when she wore this ensemble], but it looks very Little House on the Prairie. Like, I thought she was gonna get in a covered wagon and leave the argument,” she recalled.
Indicating that there was a repeat of questionable looks from the “friend of” the cast, Emily added, “So there was that one.”
“There’s another one where it’s like a mix between Hamburglar and Sherlock Holmes. It is creative!” the RHOC veteran added.
It’s all in good fun for the duo. According to Emily, Gretchen would even choose a more outrageous outfit knowing that she was going to see it.
“I say these things to her. Like, we joke. She’ll even make jokes when she puts something on and she’s like, ‘I knew Emily was going to say something.’ Like, you bet I am! It’s fun,” Emily explained. “We have fun with it.”
The mother-of-three may be unimpressed with Gretchen’s wardrobe, but her hair “looks good.” Emily questioned whether the returning RHOC star colors “it weekly” as there is never visible “regrowth.”
“It does look healthy. She does have good blond [hair]. You never can see regrowth. I don’t understand that!” she stated.
Emily joked, “And it doesn’t move! I make fun of it. I call it, like, a helmet. It’s like a Lego, like you just put the hair on. You just wake up, put your Lego hair on all day and it doesn’t move.”
