Ruth Langsford told Janet Street-Porter 'get your mind out of the gutter!' after derailing Loose Women with a cheeky comment.
The 65 year old appeared on Tuesday's instalment of the ITV show alongside Janet, Denise Welch, 67, and Coleen Nolan, 60.
After the second advert break, Ruth updated viewers about what they had to expect ahead of the second half of the programme.
Speaking to the camera, Ruth asked: 'Do you like munching on something tasty?'
And Janet couldn't contain herself and burst into laughter.
The camera then panned at Coleen and Denise, who were also giggling away to themselves over what she had said.

Speaking to the camera, Ruth asked: 'Do you like munching on something tasty? And Janet couldn't contain herself and burst into laughter
Ruth said in a stern voice: 'Janet Street-Porter. Get your head out of the gutter!
'Ladies, please! We will be revealing the treats that we can't say no to before bed time...
'Janet, that's the topic!'
Coleen added: 'Same thing. Same thing.'
Later on in the episode the panel discussed how a recent study has revealed up to 26million British adults tuck into something naughty before bed, at least three times each week.
Ruth confessed that when the clock hits around 9pm, she gets peckish and tends to go to her sharing size packet of crisps.
A shocked Janet asked her: 'You sit there with a jumbo bag?!
'How very unladylike!'
Coleen found the situation highly amusing as Ruth said the crude comment live on the ITV show on Tuesday
Ruth hit back: 'Contrary to popular belief, I am no lady.'
Coleen added: 'I can vouch for that.'
Janet said: 'S*** on her own sofa, obviously.'
Ruth asked her if she was a snacker.
Janet said: 'No me, I go to the refrigerator at 9pm, I take out my bar of..
'Yeah, look nauseated, this is what you call control. Discipline. Everything that made Britain great.
'I take out my bar of 65 per cent DARK chocolate, unwrap it.
'I take two squares, put them in a bit of tissue, I walk in, I eat one square, wait five minutes, eat the other square.

Coleen joked that she couldn't wait to go around to hers for an evening.
At the end of the instalment Ruth had to apologise to viewers.
She said: 'I must just say very quickly, that if you were offended by any language there, it was all in gest.
'I do apologise.'
