‘Real reason’ Joey Essex apologised to Josh revealed by Love Island fans after they ‘complained to Ofcom’ ngocc

The duo have been feuding for days, over Joey’s announcing his secret mission for Mimii Ngulube, which later saw Josh taking offence at Joey’s rap star impression.

But now die-hard viewers believe that Joey was forced to apologise after being informed by producers of a litany of Ofcom complaints, about the nature of their rows.

Writing on social media site X, one fan said: “Producers definitely told Joey to pack it in, after those Ofcom complaints.

Another said: “I know the producers told Joey about the ofcom complaints because now suddenly he is so apologetic #loveisland.”

Meanwhile another said: “My Ofcom complaint worked.”

And another person said: “Production saw the Ofcom complaints and told him to apologise.”

Joey had told the islanders that he had carried out a 'secret mission' to help get Ayo Odukoya onto the terrace to chat to him.

He and Sean Stone have continued to talk about it ever since, even poking fun at the awkward situation during this week's talent show.

But suddenly, during the latest instalment of the ITV2 series, Joey apologised to Josh.

The boys then decided to bury the hatchet and finally quash their feud once and for all.

Tensions then peaked on Tuesday night when Joey performed a 'rap' in the Love Island talent show.

He chanted the words "secret mission" which left Mimii and Josh feeling uncomfortable.

Then on Wednesday their argument reached a climax during a challenge called A Couple Of Sorts.

Joey and Sean once again publicly questioned Josh and Mimii's relationship.

Mimii then refused to speak to Joey.

Twenty four hours later, however, Joey and Josh suddenly went for a chat and 'cleared the air'.

Joey said to Josh: "I just want to clear the air with you now, finally. I feel like after yesterday...man to man."

Josh told him: "I was never trying to go for you, bro. I was only responding to what I thought you said in the challenge.

"I felt like every single challenge, you've come for our situation."
