‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ Star Announces Exit From Show trucc

Mia Thornton announced her departure from the Bravo series, “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” following season 9.

In an April 21 Instagram upload, Thornton let her fans know that she has “some news to share.” She noted that she and her children, Joshua, Jeremiah, and Juliana, have moved away from the Potomac area to Atlanta.

“My family and I have made the decision to relocate to Atlanta, and with that, I will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Potomac next season,” wrote Thornton in the post’s caption.

She also wrote that “the past four seasons” that she starred on RHOP “have been an unforgettable journey one filled with growth, lessons, and so many incredible memories.”

“I want to thank Truly Original, Bravo, NBCUniversal, and Andy Cohen for believing in me and giving me the space to share my story. To my castmates: thank you for the laughs, the lessons, and the unforgettable moments. And to the amazing fans, your love and support has meant everything to me. I’ll always carry that with me,” continued Thornton.

In addition, Thornton told her fans that “this next chapter is already full of exciting opportunities.”

“I don’t just make headlines — I make History. Atlanta, brace yourself. The empire has expanded. #LegacyInTheMaking,” stated Thornton.

Mia Thornton Said She Is Misunderstood

In a March 2025 interview with Baller Alert TV, Thornton spoke about leaving the RHOP season 9 reunion early. During the reunion, Thornton’s castmates criticized her decision to have conversations about Jeremiah’s paternity in RHOP season 9. In addition, Gizelle Bryant and Wendy Osefo questioned whether Thornton’s dynamic with her estranged husband, Gordon Thornton, and her ex-boyfriend, Incognito, known as Inc, was authentic.

According to Thornton, she should have “cleared up” some comments that were made about her.

“I probably should have done a better job at clearing them up at this reunion. But of course, timing is everything,” said Thornton during the interview. “But it’s okay. I feel like as time progresses, it’ll all unravel. And when I’m able to speak on certain things, I will speak on certain things. But it’s hard to navigate when you really can’t tell the whole story.”

She also said she believes she is “misunderstood a lot.”

Mia Thornton Spoke About Her Relationship With Inc

In a January 2025 “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” interview, Thornton confirmed that she and Inc had broken up after RHOP season 9 wrapped. She suggested they ended their relationship for the sake of Inc’s career.

“Inc has worked really really hard for his reputation. And his career. He’s 20 years in as a syndicated radio personality. And he feels as though this platform is not necessarily — it doesn’t align with his brand. I respect that. Now, he’s my best friend. And he will forever be my best friend. Are we exclusive and are we dating? No,” said Thornton during the interview.

In addition, she reminded fans that she and her estranged husband have not finalized their divorce.

“I need to get a divorce first. So we’re going to work on that. We’re going to focus on G. We’re gonna focus on the kids. And then, Inc. He’s not going anywhere. What’s meant to be is forever,” said Thornton.
