Recently, eagle-eyed fans spotted and filmed Dolores Catania filming with what is purported to be the cast of the new show. Bravo officially announced that “The Real Housewives of Rhode Island” was in the works in May. However, there had been rumors about the show for several months prior. Andy Cohen recently spoke about the show and whether “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Dolores Catania would be joining.

Regarding Dolores being on the show, Andy told PEOPLE, “I think that’s been a little overstated. t’s really about who’s in Rhode Island.” Because of this, many have speculated that she could be a friend of the show instead of a full-time cast member.

Regarding what people can expect from the new show, Andy said it’s “Italian with a capital I.” He also compared it to “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” saying it gives “early Jersey vibes.” Bravo has described the upcoming series as “a tight-knit circle of Rhode Islanders who have deep community roots and families that go back generations.”

The network hasn’t announced a premiere date for the new series.
