Opening up.
Fans saw Radhika Gupta look for love with Grant Ellis on Season 29 of “The Bachelor.”
Things didn’t work out for her and Grant, but Radhika has been continuing to share her life on social media with Bachelor Nation.
This week, she spoke with The Cornell Daily Sun and got candid about her experience on “The Bachelor.”
Radhika discussed the diversity on Season 29 saying, “I wasn’t expecting [the level of diversity], because you don’t know who else is on the show until you get there. Seeing so many other women of color really felt amazing, and because of that, I was a little bit more comfortable than I thought otherwise I might have felt.”
She specifically discussed being representation for other Indian girls watching the show.

“When our casting came out, there were just a lot of girls that were excited about it,” Radhika said. “I got so many DMs from younger Indian girls just being like, ‘Oh, my God, I’m so excited to see some representation,’ ‘I’m so excited to see someone that looks like me,’ and ‘I wanna be like you.’”
She said it had been “really special” to connect with so many people in different ways since being on “The Bachelor.”
And while Radhika said, “Reality dating TV shows are sometimes painted as a catty thing,” her experience on “The Bachelor” was the opposite.
She told the outlet that being on the show “gave her a platform to connect with like-minded women and form a new sisterhood with her co-stars.”
We love hearing from Radhika and continue to wish her all the best!
