The Great British Bake Off star Prue Leith was forced to apologise after a live blunder on Monday's edition of Loose Women
Loose Women presenter Ruth Langsford was forced to apologise after Prue Leith swore live on-air.
The Great British Bake Off star appeared on the ITV daytime show on Monday (April 14) to discuss her new cooking series, Prue Leith's Cotswolds Kitchen.
The programme sees Prue cook up her all-time favourite dishes from her Cotswolds home kitchen.
She is joined by a variety of celebrity guests throughout the episodes, as well as her husband, John Playfair - who she married in 2016.
Addressing John's cameo on the new show, Loose Women panellist Coleen Nolan said: "What's this I hear about your husband stealing your thunder a bit," reports the Mirror.
Prue candidly replied: "I'm seriously p***ed off," instantly drawing laughter from the audience members.
After quickly realising her error, Prue said: "Sorry, I'm sorry."
"I do have to apologise for that slightly fruity language from our Dame, just in case anybody was offended," Ruth then interjected as Prue continued with her own apologies.
On the topic of her husband's participation in the programme, Prue explained: "Honestly, the fact is he is such a charmer. I only let him onto the show because it's his house and if we're going to have a crew there for two weeks and the whole house taken over, it's going to be a bit unfair.
"So, I thought if he was involved he wouldn't mind all the cables and clutter and so on. Well, that was a mistake."
The television chef went on to reveal that John has started to be recognised in public, with numerous fans expressing their appreciation for him during supermarket trips.
"The best thing he does [on the show] is he goes off to find food heroes," Prue further commented.
Prue Leith's Cotswolds Kitchen made its return to ITV for a second season last month, offering more glimpses into the star's private home life and featuring an array of celebrity guests.
Notable personalities such as Lulu, Kelly Brook, JB Gill, Lisa Hogan and Charlotte Church have graced recent episodes.
Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 12.30pm
