Phaedra Parks did not enjoy her time on Married 2 Med.
The latest episode of “Married to Medicine” gave fans some insight into why Phaedra Parks departed the show before the season ended. Dr. Heavenly Kimes was in charge of planning the couples’ trip. While she did tell Phaedra she invited Apollo Nida, she did not tell Phaedra that his wife Sherien Copes was coming with him. This is because Apollo originally told Heavenly that Sherien wouldn’t be able to attend.
Phaedra doesn’t care for Sherien because she alleges that Sherien was Apollo’s mistress while she was pregnant.
Sweet Tea and Phaedra Parks departed the couples’ trip early.
Another messy moment of the couples’ trip was Quad Webb and her new man clashing with Dr. Gregory Lunceford and Sweet Tea. At the end of the recent episode, Cheick and the husbands tried to keep King from assaulting Gregory. Gregory then went on to press charges.
On the upcoming episode of “Married to Medicine,” Phaedra tells Dr. Jackie Walters that she is leaving the trip. This catches Jackie by surprise.
Phaedra answers, “Well, you know, some people can be played with. But I’m not one of them.”
She also believes the ladies mean girls, “I don’t play with these types of mean girls. So yep, so I’m gone.”
“This group does not allow anyone new to survive. Everyone new that comes in, they treat them poorly.”
Phaedra adds, “I think that these ladies are stuck in their little four-ring circus.”
Dr. Jackie Walters disagrees with the “mean girls” label.
“I knew Phaedra would be upset but I didn’t think she would leave. I thought that she would come back and come back stronger. I do not think that we are a group of mean girls. I think we are a group of honest girls and strong debaters. Phaedra’s just got it wrong. She missed it. They didn’t have that question on the bar. You have to be strong enough to hang out with this group,” Jackie says.
Phaedra is last seen getting on a private jet.
Some fans are not entertained by the drama playing out thus far. The latest episode saw a drop in ratings despite “Real Housewives of Potomac” surging and amassing over 600,000 viewers for part 1 of the reunion. While RHOP brought in 618,000 viewers, “Married to Medicine” amassed 459,000. The previous episode amassed 512,000. Surprisingly, the altercation between Gregory and King did not boost the ratings. Fewer viewers tuned in.
TV Deets is reporting that last Sunday’s episode was a series low in demo.
