“The Bachelor” alum Maria Georgas shut down a recent report claiming Pete Davidson went to rehab for a second time this year following a brief romance with her.
“Never dated Pete. False rumor! I’m friends with his sister [Casey]. Case closed,” Georgas wrote on her Instagram Story Tuesday.
“Just spoke to his sister he’s not in rehab and has been sober for months,” the reality star continued in a second slide.
“Can’t believe this s–t it’s very insulting to his recovery and my mental health,” she added. “He’s literally home.”
A source claimed to the US Sun Monday that Davidson, 31, had “checked into rehab in Florida fairly recently,” adding that he “flew in on a private jet.”
The source went on to allege that the comedian is “in pretty bad shape this time around” and “not in a good place.”
According to the outlet, the alleged rehab stint was preceded by a secret relationship with Georgas, 30, who appeared on Joey Graziadei’s season of “The Bachelor” earlier this year.
“[Davidson] ended a fling with Maria just before he checked in,” the source claimed, noting that the alleged fling lasted “for a couple of months.”
However, a source close to Davidson echoed Georgas’ sentiments Tuesday and insisted to Page Six that “he’s not in rehab.”
We reported in July that the “Saturday Night Live” star had checked himself into rehab for mental health treatment, one month after he split from actress Madelyn Cline.
A source told People at the time that Davidson’s family and friends were happy to see him put his health and well-being first.
Earlier that month, the funnyman revealed the one drug he could not stop using after getting clean from other substances.
“I can’t quit [weed] yet. It’s all I have left,” he told the crowd on his Rehab Tour in Atlantic City, NJ.
“I did coke and ketamine and f–king all the pills and all that s–t. All I have is weed left, so it’s almost over, but I’m holding on for a little bit longer.”
In June 2023, Page Six revealed that the actor had checked into rehab after struggling with borderline personality disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
“Pete regularly goes to rehab for ‘tune-ups’ and to take a mental break, so that’s what’s happening,” a friend of his told us at the time.
