The cast of Summer House is currently filming for the show’s 10th season. There are a few notable cast changes, and one of them is the departure of Paige DeSorbo. Now, she’s opening up about what led to her decision to leave the show that helped make her famous.
Paige, 32, announced in June 2025 on her Instagram Stories that she would not be returning to the show. This announcement came after Paige went through a very public breakup and social media fallout with Southern Charm star Craig Conover, 36. She initially joined the hit Bravo series during its third season.
According to E! News, the now-former Summer House star was a guest on the August 4 episode of the Bravo by Gays podcast. While on the show, Paige discussed her departure from the series. She began, “I’d like to say that I made this decision over months and months of thinking.”
The Giggly Squad host continued, “I definitely felt different leaving last summer. There was something where I had this gut feeling where I was just like, ‘This is probably the last time I’ll ever leave this house.'”
She then said, “When it came time to start thinking about the summer, I really just had a moment where I was like, ‘Wait a minute, I can’t go film a TV show. Like, I’ll literally die.'”
In addition to the breakup, Paige is a fairly busy person outside of Summer House. She went on a podcast tour and has other business ventures she’s working on, including a loungewear line. She continued, “This past spring, I was like, ‘I really need time off. I don’t physically think I could film Summer House.'”
Paige went on, “You would think, like, Daphne [her line] was coming out, I’d want to promote it on the show. And that was always my plan. Come out with something and be able to promote it on the show. But just the way I felt personally, it overrode anything professionally with Daphne.”
She then continued to explain her reasoning for not returning to Summer House, saying, “I wouldn’t have been able to come this summer and be truly authentic. Because I’ve worked so much this year, I don’t want to go out on a Friday and Saturday night. It’s not my vibe anymore, and I feel like I was taking a spot from a younger girl who should have the same opportunity I had when I was 25.”
